Room was Fine. it’s what I was expecting, not super fancy, but the bathroom was super tight to get into, and the street noise was very loud at night. THIS PLACE DOESN'T HAVE PARKING, the main amenity I was looking for that they is listed on the website they don’t really have. They are partnered with a parking structure about a block away, and it is very secure, BUT it cost $50 per night to keep your car there, and that’s on top of your hotel room. Also breakfast was pretty solid, but parking was wack. It is crazy close to china town and union square so if you don’t mind walking it’s a cheaper option to be close to those attractions. The area around the building isn’t super sketchy but is relatively sketchy if you not used to walking around city’s at night. Final thought: It was ok, not great, not bad, just ok.

Not what we expected
The soap dispenser in the bathroom was falling of the wall, the AC did not work well. TV reception was bad. Could not enjoy watching any channels on our down time. Only upside of the room was the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Hotel was overpriced for the price.

Very comfortable stay
Our stay was very comfortable. The room was big, clean and well equipped. It had a fridge, TV, and charging points in the lamps. The bathroom was lovely as well and all shower gel and shampoo was provided. The breakfast was a bit basic but still very nice. The restaurant was clean.

(This is a description of the surrounding area, not the hotel) The hotel is located on a steep hill, walking up is a physical challenge for some. The area down from the hotel on Powell St. has lots of homeless, therefore there were large swath of sidewalk area with human feces and urine. Moreover, I did not feel safe walking on Powell St near the Cable Car area at night. On the other hand, hotel employees are very professional, helpful, courteous. Hotel has lots of amenities such as hot breakfast, instant hot water through room faucets, strong AC unit, comfortable bed and complementary wine pouring in the evening. My only grip is the Wi-Fi was awfully useless anywhere in the hotel. I was getting slower than modem speed and frequent loss of connection. This is 2024, please implement a useful Wi-Fi.

A very nice hotel central to all the sights. Trolley is half a block up. Historic hotel very safe and secure. Art was amazing he helped us set up the transit app and saved us money. Each day he made sure we didnt want for snything. The breakfast is great real eggs even chamged up each morning..The manager Jay has a great team and they truly care anout the customer.

The hotel has seen better days. Rooms, lobby and hallways were well worn. Breakfast was served on throwaway plates and plastic utensils. It was fine, but hard to see the value for the price we paid. The staff was friendly.
