Beautiful hotel was my thinking as I walked through the lobby to the front desk. The room was as expected from a fairmont. Beware of touching items in the room, the tablet, the stocked fridge, the snacks. If you remove them you are “conveniently” charged as they put it. lol I wish the stay was longer, it was a great place to stay. Did not dine or use their services as it was a pit stop on our road trip. Loved it. What I didn’t like. I couldn’t keep my own drinks cool in the fridge. So ice in a bucket it is. Keep that in mind.

It’s such a lovely old hotel. Gorgeous. Only thing that was a drag was that there is no bar open in afternoon. It opens at 5. I would have enjoyed a cocktail in the gorgeous bar after a day scaling those famous hills!

Okay overall
Stay was okay. Bad taste in mouth for multiple reasons: front desk employee when checking in told us that our gym visit(s) would be included in the room rate. When we went to the gym, sure enough, it was not included but we were told if we wanted to use the gym we needed to pay $20 each. We said nah. Second reason: under the impression that parking was included as it never indicated that it is a separate charge, but it wasn’t. Basically if you want to park on the hotel property you have to use the valet parking which is $88~ per night. Anyway. Overall cool to stay there for the historical and character appeal that the hotel has; other than that, I’d go somewhere else next time in the city.

Our room: Very uncomfortable bed. Hardly any water pressure for the shower. Terrible view. I believe we were put in a terrible room because we didn't know that Kamela Harris was coming to do a fundraiser. We left one night early because of the chaos and terrible room. Also all the food was not worth the money at all. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant.

We started off our day with a Bay lunch cruise and ended it with a stay here. Beautiful hotel, clean, fun! We had some drinks at theTonga Room. Great times!

The hotel was very majestic and lovely. The entrance is gorgeous. We came here specifically to go to the Tiki bar in the basement and it was amazing! The coffee shop could use an upgrade and maybe some more staff but the Sweet barista was doing his best.

A very impressive hotel, in a good location. All of our interactions with the staff were very pleasant. We stayed in the original building and it was great. Nice beds, nice linens and turndown service.

Good hotel in a nice location
We had a nice stay at the Fairmont San Francisco. The only two issues we had was with the check in (which was very slow for the number of guests in line) and the TV (which had a messed up picture). The room was nice, and the closet size massive. The bathroom was very small and could only accommodate one person at a time but the water pressure in the shower was excellent.

Very beautiful historic building with wonderful views of city right on cable car line. The Tonga room, a well preserved example of tiki bar culture, is worth a visit. Also loved the rooftop garden. Only complaint is the WiFi was not easy to access.
