Excellent low-cost alternative
This is a renovated older facility. They did an excellent job of refurbishing the rooms. Clean, modern and comfortable. Our room had a sitting area with a small TV and there was a larger TV in the main bed area. The manager (perhaps also owner?) was super nice and always had a friendly greeting for us. It’s not a luxurious place but it is quite comfortable. It is a three story place with no elevator so keep that in mind.

10/10 will always stay here when visiting San Jose
Nick greeted us when we arrived and we knew we were in for a great stay. His hospitality and friendliness was unlike anything we could have expected. Our room was exactly what we needed and the king size bed was firm but comfortable. We took advantage of the location and walked downtown easily from our room as well as going to Academic Coffee in the morning which was nearly nextdoor to the hotel.

Awesome accommodations near the San Jose Civic!!
Visiting San Jose for a concert at the Civic and this hotel met all of our needs. We were greeted by their friendly host. Our room was clean and comfortable. Loved it was so close had several fun hangouts after the show! After checking out, our host called us to say we left a sweater in the room for which we were very grateful!

I was very happy with my accommodations: charming junior suite, clean & quiet, only a block from the city's vibrant nightlife. The manager was most helpful & hospitable. I had a great vacation, will definitely book this Inn again!

If you're looking for an affordable place to stay within walking distance of the convention center and the San Jose downtown area this is it. This is a no frills property and the building is a bit dated. Think of a Best Western type of property. However, the owner couldn't be more professional or helpful. The property is kept very clean and is very quite. In fact they have a "quite period" policy after 9:00 pm. The beds are comfortable and the showers are better than most hotels. The one minor downside (but not for me personally) is that the neighborhood has some closed businesses and is just outside on the main downtown areas. Although there are some buildings that are a bit run down I would not classify the neighborhood as unsafe in any way. I've stayed here two years in a row to attend a conference at the convention center and will stay here again next year. I highly recommend it for anyone who isn't on an expense account and has to pay their own way.

It was nice and clean, took my own pillow only because I have neck issues. Large suite and great location. Everything was very walkable and it has many variations of entertainment and discovering San Jose’s charm. I will be back!
