I checked in and asked about the free breakfast that is posted on your site, the person that checked me in was a bit rude, and insisted that it said "Light Breakfast" which means coffee, juice, and packaged muffins. I was not happy about that deal, as I look for places with a full breakfast. I did get a room downstairs, and when I walked in the smell was "FOUL" like a sewer. I had to leave the door open for about an hour at least, I sprayed for bed bug, not happy about that. I could see daylight around the door and a lot of air coming through. There was no body wash in the dispenser but at least I had a bar of soap. The bed was very uncomfortable, as were the pillows. Breakfast was pathetic, package muffins, the juice machine was broken, coffee was not hot, and they had room for 2 people to sit at one table, the other table had the chairs on it. Needless to say, I will not be going back to that place again.

Overall, I am very pleased with my stay at this property. I like the upgraded bathroom and the large-sized wall-mounted shampoo, body wash, and moisturizer. I am disappointed that the following items were not provided: clothes hangers and facial tissue. Also, the television didn't work because something was wrong with their internet connection.

Do not stay here not worth the money
The Hotel was not up to the standards on the Internet. The rooms were very small, peep hole on the door was broken out, the room smelled like urine, dirty, bed was up against the A/C Heater, hair on pillows, coffee pot water goes dirty, mattress plastic pad was used for a blanket, light fixtures were barely hanging on, room overall was very small for two beds and oversized old furniture, carpet floors dirty, Breakfast as it states was one gallon of juice with about half a glass of juice and small package of small little muffins and that's it. Will not stay there again.

Blood stains on bathroom door plane, grease on entrance door, tv was plugg off wall, there was no tv remote in room. When remote was brought over batteries were not working. I believe this room had not been cleaned. It was not housekeepers fault that room was dirty because they cleaned the room next day and it was clean. This falls on management. Coffee machine in office was broken.

The room we had, wasn't meant for 2 queen beds, as 1 of them was all they way against the air conditioner and the first night of our stay was extremely warm in the room since the a/c blew directly on to the 1 bed. The second night, I had to push the bed over to allow circulation of the ac. The room was much cooler after I lowered the temp to 62 degrees and moved the bed off the unit. My wife could not take a bath and relax since there was no bath tub, just stand up shower. Says continental breakfast, however everywhere else I stayed, that meant a hot/warm breakfast, well not here, all that was available was pastries from a local shop. Very disappointed.

I made a reservation with Expedia for one night (7/26/24) but when I got to the Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Maria; the room was not what I expected and the worst thing was that the chemicals they use to clean were so strong that I couldn't even stay a minute, I started to get a headache and wanted to throw up... I explained to the person who helped me and the manager why I was canceling and they told me that they couldn't refund my money because I made the reservation with Expedia. I spoke to Expedia immediately, and they told me that they understood and that there was no problem with the refund. Two days later they called me (Expedia) and they only apologized and the only thing they could do was give me $25.00 and I rejected it from $178.00. I would not recommend Expedia or Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Maria at all.

The property claimed that they would have breakfast, We were notified on check-in that there wouldn't be any breakfast. It should have been clearly said in the property details/amenities, it was mentioned that. "Breakfast Included". The microwave handle was broken in all three rooms, and there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bottle in the two rooms. The bathtub curtain was ripped. We were scared to sleep in the room thinking if it had any bugs :(. We are contemplating not booking hotels from Expedia since it provided inaccurate information. I want Expedia to be aware of the blatant lie given by the property so that a fact check can be done. Please let me know if any additional details are needed.

Overall a Nice Stay
Overall a nice hotel and easy stay. It was clean, centrally located, and perfect for a quick 1 night business stay. Breakfast wasn't much, just some prepackaged muffins and coffee. Didn't swim but there is a pool. Grocery store right next door which was convenient.
