Clean and Comfortable
A family emergency required me to get a motel room for several days. It is an older motel and it seemed that my room had some renovation. A large entertainment center blocked a brick wall that once had a fire place. There was a five to six inch gap between the entertainment center and the wall that you could see the fire place. Yet, it did not affect my stay as there was an air conditioning and heating unit in the room. The desk staff were very cordial. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It made my stay enjoyable under the circumstances.

Door would not open. Soap, shampoo etc poor quality. Coffee filter pouch wrong size. Did not replenish coffee. Toilet one foot from ground. TV on side wall. Poor lighting. No luggage stand or extra blanket. The door was the worst nearly impossible to open. We saw multiple guests struggling with this issue. This was our second stay at this establishment. We won’t be back.

Not worth the price. Damaged walls, broken facilities (curtains, toilet, tv.) No management on site (have to call management to request help.) Filthy light switches and doorknobs. Lumpy cheap pillows.

This place and ownership is a disaster. The room was filthy so we didn’t stay. We paid for 7 nights and despite not staying there, they would not refund any of the money. We requested a partial refund and it was denied. Stay away from this slum

You get what you pay for
Would give it one star because the door lock worked. Very loud AC, bed hard as a rock, no exhaust fan in bathroom, ONE coat hanger in closet, crumbling paint in bathroom, smallest TV I have ever seen in a Motel, paper thin walls and ceiling. Wanted upstairs room and was told that there were no king beds upstairs, so had to try to sleep under a herd of elephants wandering around upstairs. If it were the only motel in town, I'd bring a tent next time.

The place is a scam and a sham!
I made reservations for 9/17–overnight with early checkout. We have an emotional support dog who we take everywhere (he has a heart condition and cannot be left alone so we are his support! Not a large dog—30lbs. We checked in at the front desk and were met with an extremely rude young woman who asked if he was a service animal. I told her it was illegal to ask but yes he was. She said she didn’t see a vest so she turned us away. I told her the whole reason I chose that motel was due to their pet friendly description online. She said I was lying and they have no such policy. I asked her to show me where it said “only service dogs” and she told me take it up with Expedia and to LEAVE!! She had a thick accent which was hard to understand and when I looked at her incredulously she started to climb over the front desk!!! I was in tears and hoped we could find a place at 9PM. The people waiting behind us were given a hard time by her as well by the things they said as they were asked to leave as well. We had lived in San Luis Obispo for 45 years and had NEVER been treated so poorly. Upon making my reservation, I chose to pay upon checkout so I wasn’t too concerned. Upon reading my credit card statement I saw I HAD been charged—the nerve!!! That was our last night in town as we’re moving to another state the next day. If we were still living in SLO, I would have gotten to the bottom of that rat’s nest issue So you are my next resort. Thank you

Convenient as it’s close to freeway, Cal Poly, walking distance to downtown and lots of dining options close by. Staff is really nice. We were disappointed that they couldn’t provide extra blankets when we requested. Place is a little outdated but is reasonable in price. Our stay was comfortable.
