Our party of 4 recently stayed at this VRBO for a week and had a very nice stay. It is very spacious, lots of outdoor seating. Beautiful view over the water. The pool was amazing after long, hot days out touring around or at the beach, and the breezy rooftop area provided relief to the humidity. We really did enjoy the rental, but we did not find that it was as accurate in real life as the photos present. Clearly, the property has aged. The rooftop area wasn't very clean, the floors were dirty, and the stairs leading up to the roof could use painting. And it would have been more inviting if the plants in the outdoor pots weren't dead and shrivelled up. However, that didn't affect our stay. Just certain things that would have given the rental a 5 star, instead of a 4. The beds are very comfortable, and the place is airy and cheerful.
The whole island lost power on the day we arrived, and did not come back on until 1 am. We were tired, and were very uncomfortable trying to sleep. I think that if people are paying over $3000 USD to stay there for a week, the owner should ensure no power loss and have a backup generator that automatically kicks in when the island loses power. That should be a given, especially when it happened on a second night, and on and off on a third night.
We appreciated the support that Terri provided, assisting us with booking our Tropic Air flights, golf cart, fishing trip, and Catamaran Excursion, and responding to requests. Thanks Terri!
