Great location

I wanted to love this more but the other reviews about the outdated interior are correct. Batteries not working in remotes. I did call and they said there are extra in the kitchen. Wrong kind. No shower amenities, no soap in the kitchen, one of windows facing the ocean lost their seal so it’s foggy at all times. Pillows uncomfortable, checker board with zero checkers, just little things like that that do add up. Location is amazing but for the price you’d think they would take a bit more care. Upstairs bathroom had a horrible smell so our daughter used ours. Carpets have huge stains, jacuzzi cover has only one clip that works, tub in master is out of order…would not stay here again.

Amazing spot with epic views

This house is even better in person than in the photos. The location and views simply can’t be beat. We spent a large part of our stay outside on the deck soaking in the views and enjoying whales, otters, dolphins and more. The inside is a little dated as the pictures show but it was very very clean and pristine inside. The kitchen is very well equipped which is always appreciated. We had 3 couples and the layout was perfect for our group. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Ideal Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back again. The property and location were everything we had hoped for and more. There were several small maintenance items but nothing that impaired our stay.

Disappointing

We've vacationed in Cambria several times. We like it. This home would get one star but for the location and sound of the waves. Carpet is dirty and needs to be relaced. So do sheets and pillows. Picture windows and plexiglass on deck are stained and dirty.Mgmt company hasn't paid attention.

Long Weekend Getaway

The location is what really drew me to this property. In addition they had a spa on the deck overlooking the private beach and a great working fireplace in the living room. While we were in Cambria the entire city lost power and we were left in the dark from 7PM to about 3AM. The host had camping lanterns in the front closet and we found them immediately upon returning home in the dark... unbelievable! Phones died and the fire only lit up part of the living room so the lanterns saved the day. Would recommend 10/10. Hope to visit again.

Sooo relaxing with the surf and the hot tub on the deck. Hiking trails out the door, also a bonus. We all absolutely loved this vacation and the whole area and the beautiful town of Cambria.

Wedding Weekend

We stayed at Sandy Beach the weekend of our wedding. Not only was it was beautiful property with breathtaking views but the rooms so were so comfortable and the communal area was so cozy. The check in process was so easy and picking up the keys was a breeze.

Great Place - Some Improvements

The home is beautiful and clean. The view is excellent and it is a close walk to a preserve. To improve the experience I would recommend having the windows facing the ocean cleaned, better cookware in the kitchen, tissues and slip mats in all bathrooms, and having the lights on the balcony and staircase in working order. Despite the suggestion, we will definitely stay here again.

Great house but some issues

The location of this house could not be better! Amazing ocean views although can be difficult to see out of the windows which were not cleaned when we checked in. The management co. said the window cleaner would come the next day but never showed up. We cleaned them ourselves. The house is stunning but has some deferred maintenance. Exterior lights did not work, several window blinds were broken, no drain cover in master bathroom sink so be careful not to drop anything in it. Also, dirty dishes in the cabinet. The worst part was that when the power went out (PG&E issue) the house had NO flashlights and just a couple decorative candles. When I called the after-hour management I was told it wasn't their fault and I should go out and find someplace to buy flashlights. I've owned vacation rentals and it is so easy to have continuously charging flashlights plugged in throughout the house. Especially in an area where the power goes out (PG&E areas). Additionally, the after-hours manager was out of town so could not help us and was quite rude about it. Bottom line - I would love to rent this house again.....but with a better management company.

Excellent house in perfect location!!

We couldn't have been happier with this beautiful home, and wish we had stayed longer! Every room has comfortable furniture, and the main living area is incredible. Open and airy, with many windows to take in the gorgeous view! We had many ideas about places to go in and around Cambria, but ended up spending a lot of time at the house, on the large deck watching the ocean. No regrets!! It was a relaxing, wonderful 4 days, and we can't wait to return.

Overall wonderful. The book of info at the house as well as the property manager need updates. We kept looking for the Charter TV remote, but it apparently doesn’t exist. We needed to reboot the router and book says it is under the table with lamp. After looking at all the tables with lamps we finally found it in a cabinet in the living room. Prior to our visit I called to find out what type of grill and property manager checked and told me charcoal. We bought charcoal, only to find a gas grill when we arrived. Since someone had left an unopened bag of charcoal I’m guessing the same thing happened to an earlier guest.
