Very cute bahay kubo/bungalow with incredible view of the beach. It's a perfect place to relax and destress. I don't mind that the electricity is only 6 hours a day (3 hours in the morning and 3 hours at night). I still had a good night sleep. The cottage is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom is also clean and complete with shampoo, soap, toilet paper, etc. The service is exceptional. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They arranged my van transport from Puerto Princesa Airport to Port Barton and back (500 pesos each way, to be paid directly to the driver). They have complementary boat ride from Port Barton to the resort and back, which is nice. Everything was perfect. I'll definitely return.
This is a wonderful place to base yourself for a few days. The staff are helpful, they helped me to find a lost bag in transit. There are some waterfalls you can walk to via a safe jungle track. The tour and the boat guys were first class, they also made us the most wonderful lunch on the beach. The electricity is limited to a few hours in the morning and evening and, like most of Palawan, the Wifi does not work so not great if you need to be on the radar but perfect if you don’t!
Absolutely amazing hospitality. The location is perfect is you want to some peace and quiet. We really enjoyed the food and if you end up staying at Sunset Colors you a boat trip is a must. The manager (Randy) and his team really looked after us, we will be back for sure!
Sunset colors is an incredible place in the middle of paradise!! Luiz and the staff do an outstanding job making you feel special and the food was AMAZING!! Hope to return for another visit one day!

Give it a go
Lovely little family run place nestled in the coconut palms. Very quiet and relaxed.
Great food and service, definitely recommended.
Luis is your guy! One of the most welcoming host we have ever met.
Note that this place is nice and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of El Nido. It is also apart from the main port barton center. I find it is a place to get away and relax for a bit.
nice for a relaxing break but be aware you have to get a boat back to port barton beach and they only run at certain times (last one is 5:30pm) else you have to charter your own boat for 1200 each way!! we were going to book a boat trip with the hotel for 800 pesos which only included two stops but in town it was 700 for 5 stops. no brainer. stay was average, staff very friendly though.
Gorgeous native style rooms in a pristine location. We stayed in the upstairs family room which had a great view (and our drinks were brought up to us!) Meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are fantastic - friendly, professional and helpful. Their island hopping tour was amazing.
Beach huts on a private beach at the edge of the forest = the perfect relaxation spot. Hosts Sepastian and Luiz are some of the nicest people you will meet. Very friendly and helpful which gave a nice family feel to the stay. Location, staff and food at their restaurant all amazing.
Had an awesome and amazing time here. Love the staff the best cook ever! Love the ambience the peacefulness and serenity of the place.
Definitely will come back here someday
Sebastien is an amazing host and runs a wonderful, service oriented mini-resort that is right on the beach and close to nature in many other ways. The setting is spectacular and the bungalow we stayed at was rustic but fully functional. The food served at Sunset Colors retains the French touch that Sebastien brings and sets it apart from other places in Palawan. Bikes and kayaks are available at no charge which is great for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Our stay was magical and we highly recommend Sunset Colors!
Lovely little place. We only booked one night as the resort was fully booked. Sebastian the owner was very communicative and just a few minutes after the booking was made he sent me an email with the details how to get there and he also arranged transportation from El Nido to Port Barton. Thanks Sebastian!
The place is lovely, great to relax. Food is great and the staff is lovely. They looked after us so well. Thank you for having us.
A very nice base for island hopping and day trips to the nearby beaches and coral reefs. Great food, very nice people and a nice and relaxing atmosphere! I definitely recommend it!
This resort was simply beautiful, just as I had hoped. However, after my 4 1/2 drive, the owner informs me he overbooked his resort and did not have nippa hut for me. Thank you hotels.com for taking care of the undesirable situation that this resort owner placed me in.
The hotel is perect runaway for those who wants some private time and calm. Situated in a very beautiful place, well organized. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing, especially desserts! :)
Sunset colors is a very nice beach resort with only 4 bamboo beach cottages and one family cottage located close to port barton, but only reachable by boat. It is a very nice beach and calm exklusive atmosphere. Staff is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. The food was great but a bit more pricey than in Port Barton. Perfect spot if you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing private beach spot.
Mycket trevligt och avkopplande med suverän service.
Synd det var mycket lågvatten så stranden närmast hotellet var inte bra.
Fanns fina badstränder 20 minuters promenad.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and we loved every moment of it. The cottage itself was simple, so don't expect too much. The place is a bit isolated right by the beach, which in our case was preferable since it was very relaxing and quiet. It had an intimate atmosphere with the location, the staff, and the few other guests. The food at the restaurant was really good and affordable filipino food. We want to thank the helpful staff that went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and feel at home, especially Randy and the boat captain Matoy!
Honestly, don't miss this chance for a simple romantic getaway. We would definitely come back in the future.
Le séjour c'est très bien passé. Le petit bungalow était parfait. Nous avons adoré dormir dans le calme. Le restaurant est très bon et pas cher !!! Parfait !
