Absolutely not a 4-star hotel — beware of hostile management I never leave reviews, but Hotel Club Sorrento deserves a serious warning. The room I was given was nowhere near the standard of a so-called 4-star property — think budget roadside motel, not the Sorrento experience advertised online. I’ve stayed in La Quinta Inns that were cleaner and better maintained. Before booking, read the bad reviews and notice how “Luigi,” the manager, responds. Unfortunately, those comments aren’t exaggerating. When I contacted Expedia to request a refund and move elsewhere, he actually got in my face in the lobby, yelling and accusing me of complaining “just because I’m American.” After Expedia called him, he offered to “upgrade” me — something I never asked for or needed — and then used that against me as leverage. This was the second of three rooms I was shuffled between during a two-night stay. He even threatened to call the police simply because I had reached out to Expedia. Truly pathetic behavior. The pictures used to sell the hotel bear little resemblance to what you actually get. The property feels tired, small, and poorly kept. Luigi may be proud of his establishment, but that doesn’t make it any less disappointing. Save yourself the headache: there are far better options in Sorrento for the same price (or less). Travelers coming from far away deserve a warm welcome and the quality promised — not hostility and sub-par rooms.

The accommodation was quite nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and the host was a sweet older gentleman. We had arrived by train and walked which is a bit far with luggage. Had we been more aware there is a bus that goes across the street from hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Club in Sorrento and had a deeply disappointing experience. I had chosen this hotel hoping for a clean and comfortable stay, but I unfortunately encountered bed bugs in my room. When I reported the issue to the front desk, I was moved to a second room, only to find that it too had bed bugs. The building manager, Luigi, and I spent time searching for other available rooms, and after inspecting four different options, I reluctantly settled on a fifth room. Now, I’m left with bed bug bites all over my body, which has overshadowed my entire trip. I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to the pest issues and overall lack of cleanliness.

WiFi was my biggest issue - properties speeds are dreadfully slow. Friendly staff but difficult to get a hold of someone as it’s a family operation that limits their abilities to man the front desk, bar, etc. clean rooms and comfortable enough, though I can understand others guests gripes.

Way too expensive for the experience. There are much better hotels nearby. Stay in Sorrento proper. Pictures made the property seem way better than reality. The rooms are terribly noisy without any sound dampening - you will hear talking in rooms beside you. Steps above you. Showers and toilette flushes. The hotel isn’t in a great area, and a considerable walk to Sorrento. The only benefit to location is metro close by.

Dated Hotel not comfortable! Save yourself

Hotel pictures were misrepresented!!’ Maybe 40 years ago! Absolutely awful. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The mattresses are stiff and plastic bumps protruding through all over!!! The only thing that was tolerable was the breakfast and the lovely staff that attended to us.
