I had much higher expectations for this resort. The resort itself is nice, big pools, and a nice bar. I chose this resort as it had a gym, however the gym is laughable and the hours are inconvenient. Also, the loud music at the bar makes it hard to sleep comfortably. Additionally, the staff response is poor and expect to wait 1-2 hours for something as simple as towels. Last note, don’t expect WiFi here.

Needs to improve the check in process, still using paper lists to verify reservation and my expedia reservation was no found, had to wait a long time for them to verify with expedia that in fact I had a reservation. Took 2 days to get our balcony chairs. The food is bland and salty in the buffet area, drinks are too sweet, Pina coladas are not from fresh pineapple but from a sweet mix. Fruit juices from concentrate even thou the abundance of tropical fruit. Music too loud in the buffet area, not able to have a conversation without yelling. Need to improve entertainment and music variety. The facilities are blessed with beautiful natural surroundings, very clean and well kept facilities.

AC was leaking and was not pushing enough cold air, everything is outdated, no iron in the room, no ventilation system in the bathroom. Glad we only stayed for 2 nights. Property is beautiful but no easy way to tell where buildings were located.

It was shocking when we got there. This place is run down, in a state of disrepair and rooms look NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS!! Pool was nice, food was okay, drinks watered down. Massages are excellent.

I noticed that our Room needs to be more cleaned and updated, as the walls paint craked. Upon arrival found set of towels for 2, as I opened the fridge, a cascaded water. Everyday had to call 2-3 times for two extra towels as we're 4 and everytime they left only two. Waiting took forever. Now, the food was much better from the last time we stayed. Pools are exceptional. From this experience we're not sure if we want to come back to Salinitas. Look for other options.

This property is rusting throughout all the buildings. Inside my room, there was mold in various places and although I had booked for three nights, I had to leave after the first night because my mother is 65 and she was starting to feel the effects of the mold. The staff would only switch us into another room but in seeing the entire property have issues, it was not a safe choice for me to stay with my family and expose my mother to additional mold. The staff was not communicating with each other after I spoke to the manager and checking out was a nightmare. The staff would not provide any helpful information on how to proceed with cancelling the add to all two days I was not going to stay at the hotel. No one knew how I could reach their customer service line nor what was going to happen after spending close to $1000 for a property that was not in good conditions. The food was not at temperature either and this also added to the concern that this was not a suitable place for my elder mother, my minor nephew myself or my brother. I am still trying to figure out how to get reimbursed because this is the worse experience I have gone through.

No maintenance in the rooms, need to be clean and painting. Quality in food and beverages not existent, bunch of drunks, no restaurants beside the buffet, and food was awful and I guess not clean, after I ate dinner, I become nauseated and with diarrea, condition that mess my vacation. The outdoors nice and the only good thing was the show. I will never recommend this hotel ever
