Anniversary failure
The hotel is old. The decor is minimal. There were coffee and tea packets but no coffee pot. No hair dryer. The beds are on top of metal stands and it seems the child above us liked to kick it and it sounded like a metal dumpster lid slamming shut. The room had the basic…bed two nightstands and a chair for the desk. For $300+ a night I expected a little more. And a $100 deposit that we will get back in 3-7 days after they make sure we didn’t break anything. Not sure what we could destroy in that room.

Only stayed 1 night. The water pressure on the shower was weak. Otherwise, it was not expensive, had air conditioning, and was close to activities on State Street. No complaints. Would stay again.

Door was squeaky / hard to open and close. No mini fridge. Appliances were unplugged on arrival. Metal surrounding under bed was too visible where we kept hitting our feet into.. therefore causing a loud noise.

I didn’t like the fact that housekeeping wasn’t automatic. At check-in, we weren’t given the door sign that you had to put on your door requesting housekeeping.

We paid for a room with two queen beds and under ground floor when we got there they didn’t have any rooms like that on the bottom floor and I cannot climb up the stairs to get to the second floor. I am handicapped so we ended up with one king size bed For four people they told us we could buy an air mattress if we wanted. Also found Ants in our room. Just not a good night stay.

This hotel badly needs updating
Actual does not match photos on the web. The photos in the web present the place like a 4 star hotel. It is actually much less than that. Rooms need updating: no proper insulation, you can hear people in the hallways from your room; when you’re in the hallways, you can hear people talking or their TV sound in each room. We woke up middle of the night when people came in at that time. There were 5 of us in a room with 3 queen beds, one bath. We were provided 4 towels, 3 thin round soap in a packet. Room has a coffee maker with a day’s supply of coffee for one person - not really a problem because there are shops nearby. The receptionist who checked us in was the best part of our stay. She was very friendly and professional. The hotel is close to downtown area where you can shop and get the best food.
