Situated just steps from the shore, it beautifully complements the main house, Starry Night, creating a cozy coastal retreat. As you approach the cottage, you'll be welcomed by a charming side porch, complete with Adirondack seating for two, providing the ideal spot to relax, sip morning coffee, or enjoy an evening nightcap. A sandy footpath just outside the porch leads you directly to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and surf at any time of day. The cottage is also ideally located across from Odessa Pavilion and just two blocks from the Seaside Amphitheater, with plenty of dining options and shopping nearby. This makes Little Dipper the perfect base for all your Seaside adventures, whether you're looking to relax or explore the town's vibrant offerings.

Inside, the first floor features an open living area designed for comfort and convenience. A small dining table, which comfortably seats four, sits adjacent to the cozy living space, where you can unwind after a day at the beach. The adjacent kitchen is compact but fully equipped, including a four-burner stovetop, microwave, and compact dishwasher, offering everything you need to prepare meals or snacks during your stay.

Upstairs, you'll find the serene bedroom featuring a queen bed and a mounted TV for quiet evenings in. The full bath provides all the essentials, and the highlight of the second floor is the charming Juliette balcony. This private space offers the perfect place to stargaze, with a perfect view of the Little Dipper constellation, adding a touch of magic to your stay. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a home base for exploring the area, Little Dipper offers everything you need for an unforgettable Seaside getaway.

For additional space, you can also rent the main three-bedroom cottage, Starry Night.

Short getaway
Enjoyed the small house. Had everything we needed. But upstairs was rather warm due to the engineering of A/C system. The listing on VRBO showed a large porch but this unit did not have it, it belonged to the large house on the property. Disappointed, was looking forward to sitting out on it. The shower/foot wash outside did not work. Unable to clean off shoes of sand before entering house. We also believe that the $400 resort fee is steep for our very short stay. We only used the pool once. Otherwise we had a great time.

Great getaway for 2!
My husband and I just spent a few days in the Little Dipper. Besides the great location, the home felt comfortable and well appointed. Great linens and service/ communication with the management. We enjoyed the proximity to the water, to Seaside, and all the other wonderful amenities in the area.

Great location!
The Little Dipper is directly across the street from the private beach access so it is so easy to get to the beach. It is also very short walking distance from the center of all action in Seaside.

Great area - Everything you need nearby
My only suggestion is that the check-in instructions should include a reminder that this is the GUEST cottage to Starry Night. It had been a few months since I reserved and we arrived late at night. The address was correct and we saw Little Dipper on the fence, so we knew that we were in the right location, but the key code wasn't working because we were trying to get into the main house, not the guest house around back. It was dark and we didn't want to be creeping around with flashlights onto people's porches and yards. It would be nice if there was a bigger sign to direct you around the corner. The property management company was responsive and helpful, and we did get it figured out, but a reminder in the email would have solved that. Otherwise, our stay was great. The tote and beach towels were very much appreciated and a nice touch. So was the bag of coffee. Beach access is great. Seaside is a small town but there's a little market nearby for groceries, a couple of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Since we were there in the off-season, we never had a problem with parking or getting around.

Location, Location, Location
The property is located on 30A. The landscaping creates a barrier that provides privacy as well as a sound barrier from traffic. We were right across 30A from our beach access and a few blocks from Town Square. Our car stayed parked the entire time we were at Seaside.

Great house and location
Check in process was terrible. Never received a checkin confirmation or code to get in house. Took almost 2 hours of being put on hold and filing claims before we were able to finally talk with someone. Once we got them however they were very helpful and actually met us at the property. But this was extremely stressful we were afraid we were going to have to sleep in our car. Loved the location but parking was very difficult also . We were made to move our vehicle several times and we parked where we were instructed to park by the property manager this was extremely frustrating.

Great location
Cottage was perfect for the two of us. Location is amazing, loved riding bikes all over town and the beach only just a hop across the street. There were branches that were rubbing the roof and making noise. We had to go buy a fan to cover the noise so we could sleep. It may sound petty, but when the wind picked up it sounded like a muffled conversation was going on in the next room. Very annoying / startling when I'd just drift off asleep for it to sound like someone was in the house. My only complaint was that when contacted the property management didn't offer any help in finding solution.

Being located adjacent to 30A was terribly noise with traffic and people hollering out of their vehicles until late at night. It was not something I would ever want to experience again.

Great location
Cannot beat the location. The unit is very small but the unique use of space is helpful. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re a couple or very close friends. Even adding a kid into the mix would make this space feel very crowded.

We loved this house. Perfect for just two and a weekend getaway or a week at the beach. The location is above all. So close to beach and walking distance to seaside restaurants and amphitheater!
