"Mariposa" is a charming and recently updated 1BR-1BA condo located at Gulf Place on 30a. With stunning 4th floor views of the sugar white beach from the balcony and an awesome location, we give this vacation spot 5 stars!

Gulf Place is a trendy, picturesque town on the beaches of 30A with eclectic boutiques, art galleries, family-owned stores, bistros, a Pilates studio, pharmacy, and outdoor green space for entertainment. This rental includes the use of all three Gulf Place pools and hot tubs, tennis courts, walking trails, and access to the private beach access just 100 steps away. Bicycle, kayak, and stand-up board rentals are available just outside the entrance to our elevator.

Cozy and sunny describes this delightful 4th floor condo that sleeps 4 comfortably. The family area offers plenty of seating including a sleeper sofa, an HDTV, and access to a private balcony with gulf views. The bedroom is furnished with a king bed, an HDTV, and opens to a private balcony with gulf views. Our kitchen offers a new dishwasher and is fully stocked with everything needed to whip up a gourmet meal or quick snack. Guests can also enjoy comfortable dining with seating for four. There is no washer/dryer in the unit but, a laundry room is within the building. WiFi is also included.

Gulf Place is a treat! The town center features an outdoor amphitheater that hosts summertime concerts. Beach front church services are held at the Ed Walline beach entrance complete with guitar music. There is shuffleboard, croquet, two tennis courts, and 17 miles of scenic walking/biking trails. For the golfer in the group, Gulf place is located adjacent to The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club.

Plan to visit the nearby towns of Seaside, Watercolor, Grayton Beach, Watersound, and Rosemary Beach! For a day trip adventure, charter a fishing boat, enjoy boutique shopping at the Destin Commons, outlet shopping at the Silver Sands Premium Outlets, or the Big Kahunas Water Park in Destin.

CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival receive no refund unless the guest purchased travel insurance. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking.

Needs some "attention"

I want to start by saying I don't take pleasure in bringing things to the owner's attention. I'm not one to get "pleasure" out of criticizing anyone or anything. That being said I'm gonna give my opinion of this rental. My wife and myself have been renting from all over Gulf Place for 10+ years. There have been times we rent the same place but more times than not we rent a different place. IMO, this place needs some "attention". I'll give the "PROS" first then the "CONS" and let you decide for yourself. PROS: Location is great, bed is super comfortable, it's decorated great, Both T.V.'s worked great "WHEN" the internet worked. CONS: Internet was on and off the entire time. Sometimes it worked, other times it didn't. (I know that happens from time to time, but still it's a "CON". For us personally, we prefer a regular drip coffee maker, not a KUERIG. (That's a preference though). There were a couple of blinds that couldn't be opened from daytime, then closed at night because there was no spin bar to work them. THE SHOWER is in DIRE NEED to be replaced. Nasty, stained just not good. We made it work but it needs some serious attention. The security "hasp" [Secondary lock for door) was completely broken. (Not that we felt unsafe but there still needs to be one) Underneath the sink cabinets was NASTY. The same was where the glasses and plates were. There are dings and dents throughout the entire condo. Needs an OVERHAUL, IMO. I wouldn't rent it again.

Cozy place but needs work

The overall condo was nice and comfortable, especially the bed! The one negative would be the bathroom and amenities provided. The shower/ tub had a constant drip that needs to be fixed. Also the provided towels were of poor quality and stained. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

If I could describe in one word—Outstanding. Condo was perfect for two people. Ocean views were phenomenal, walk to beach seamless, restaurants were in walking distance. If I need to add a negative, no closet space or luggage rack, although that was minimal for our needs. We will be back

Long weekend getaway

We needed a restful weekend getaway to reset and recharge. Weather wasn't the greatest but got some rest and had some great food. Location was directly across from beautiful beach access and walking distance to food and brewery and coffee shop. Traffic was at time loud but since it was located in the heart of gulf place it was to be expected. Great place for couple. Clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Perfect beach side location getaway

From beginning to end the property was great! Restaurants all within walking distance, beach is a 1 min walk and everyone that lives locally is super friendly. Extra shout out for the excellent checkin instructions, contact information for support, pool locations and check out process. There is nothing better than having all important information you need when traveling to make for a stress free experience.
