It's a lovely hotel. Rooms are fine, and the roof terrace is great. It doesn't have a proper restaurant, but you can meals on the roof terrace and on room service, and there are many decent restaurants nearby. Breakfast on the terrace was really nice. The downside for us was that Expedia allowed us to book a superior room with a balcony which turned out to be not available. So we had to make do with a rather small, cramped room with a shortage of furniture. The off-road covered parking was excellent, but they charged us extra for it ($11 per day).

I really enjoy staying Hotel Europa the staff at the hotel are friendly and all ways helpful. The hotel is very clean and the area where it’s located is safe and walkable to most restaurants. I do have one complaint and that is the noise. My hotel room was directly below the the roof top bar and one night the music was so pound it felt the walls and me bed were vibrating from the music and not too mention the loud music continued until almost 2:00 am. But, I highly recommend the hotel. My next visit, I will bring ear plugs just incase

First time at this property. I really like it. Good location if you want to explore the Colonial Zone and quick access to roads to get out of town. I don’t like paying for parking but the lot is super convenient and secure. Only complaints are that the GPS location given on the Expedia site does not take you to the location of the hotel and that the “final” price that shows before starting the booking process is never the real “final” price. It is close, usually within $10 but not exact.

I love staying in La Zona Colonial for its rich history, and it’s great to see the area receiving some much-needed renovations. Gran Hotel Europa is centrally located, making it convenient to visit many tourist attractions. I also felt safe during my stay, which is always a plus. The rooftop was lovely, especially during the day, offering great views of the area. The included breakfast was impressive, featuring a mix of local dishes and classic options like eggs, toast, and fresh fruit. However, the room was disappointing. We were given a non-renovated room, which didn’t match the photos advertised online. The lack of updates was noticeable and heavily detracted from the overall experience. If the room had been renovated as advertised, I’d rate this property a solid 4 out of 5!

The condition of the hotel was good and the location was great HOWEVER they gave me a room on the lobby #102 and the amount of noise was unbearable. I did not sleep at all, people talking loud, kids running passed midnight and crying for hours. At 1:00am I had to call the reception and asked what is their rules regarding the noise inside the hotel. I travel a lot and I never experience a hotel with so much noises ALL NIGHT. Beside that it was a good hotel in a safe location.
