Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Front Desk staff wasn't really friendly upon check in. No smile and personality. Didnt feel connection. However the lady who helped me for my luggage stored, she was great
The tiny restaurant on ground floor is actually quite delicious and inexpensive (breakfast buffet; 1400Yen for an adult). Love the crab and fish especially.
The room is pretty clean and with all the needed amenities. Wish there's body lotion provided.
The facility itself might need some renovation. Room is not so well-lit and the air circulation could be better. We remedied it by opening the window a little.
I tried my best to separate trash accordingly but still getting a note of "if you don't know, please leave the trash there, and we'll take care of it." So I did leave them near by the trash can, but there was 1 day they ended up not picking up my trash either. LOL. I need to understand about separating trash better.
We can stay in Apa hotel on low cost, however the amenity is sufficient.

Disliked: Staff & service
Customer Service Needs Improvements
The Staff were not that friendly & accommodating. When we requested for things line extension chord & flat iton, they asked us to get them from the front desk. Other hotels would have their staff deliver things to our room. One staff even shouted at my friend asking for the trash bin in the lobby while he was attending to the luggages of other guests.
The room is wide for 3 people and the location is near Odori Park. really thankful for the service since i made some mistake in my booking and the team handle it in such a super nice way :)
Not the best, not expensive but a good place to stay at for when you need to stay in Sapporo for a week.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was very small for two people, could hardly move around.
Buffet breakfast good the first three days but to eat the same for 6 days was too much.
Needed vacuum cleaner but was told cleaning company not around at night.
Not very English friendly, nothing in English in the room to say how to use phone etc.
Perfect location to go for the festival or shopping!

Disliked: Room comfort
Great location, room not so much.
While the location to the snow festival was great and access to local stores and food services was excellent, the rooms were lacking. It looked like there was dust caked all over the top of the walls and ceiling. The bed was a box spring and was extremely uncomfortable. The heating for the room was archaic. It was either low, medium, or high with no temperature control. Our shower head wouldn’t stay locked into the holder and fell out several times, soaking the entire bathroom. Only one towel was provided for each of us. I asked for additional towels but they never arrived. Again, location is great but bring a mattress pad if you want to actually sleep. And extra towels if you have long hair.
Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate but failed to do so several times. One point to mention was that the Video On Demand feature had no volume. I asked why and they couldn’t answer. They sent a man up to look at the issue and agreed that the volume for VOD did not work. After a while they told me that no volume was normal and that most customers read the subtitles. Bear in mind the subtitles were written in kanji. This makes no sense. Bed were old and uncomfortable. The list goes on.
The location was great, but the condition of the hotel wasn't great. The lobby smelled like the sewer some days, one of our rooms carpet was completely stained all over, and the majority of our rooms were tiny and smelled like either smoke or old water. The staff however was great and very helpful! And the location was great for tourists!
TLDR: You will be treated like a moron if your room has a problem. The cheap rooms are not comfortable.
Our first room had a few problems. The bed was a brick. The walls were visibly dusty. Most importantly, the room heater was broken and the temps were at a constant 26 degrees. We opened the window thinking the winter air would help and it didn't. When we told the staff, they told us to check the button on the wall (we already had and said as much) and directed us to return to the room. We took pictures, returned to the front desk. They insisted on checking it themselves and saw that it was turned off. Then they said our room was hot because of the open blind and window (middle of winter). We mentioned we left it open throughout the night and it was the same temp. The staff instructed us to return to the desk with her where she called maintenance. This was 30 minutes of elevators and being interrogated. They finally offered us an upgraded room with a much nicer bed.
