The Doubletree by Hilton in Savannah was a great place to stay. The room was large and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Check in was quick and easy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is nicely located close to the waterfront and other dining and shopping areas.

Disappointing Let Down with Customer No Service.
Four months before our stay, we booked a Corner Room with City View. Excited for our stay, we checked in, were given our key and went upstairs to a very standard room. I returned to the desk and after several minutes was told that no rooms were available in my reservation criteria. I asked why, if we made reservations 4 months ago. I was told that other guests had extended their stay!.. I was further told that, because our room had a fold out, it was even better. No accommodation or apology or effort to make things right were given. I was told that my money could be refunded and I could find somewhere else to stay (at 7pm on Sunday night..). I was not rude, just disappointed and stating the facts. A true example of Customer No Service from what I expected to be a quality hotel chain. Someone from the front desk called later to offer free parking for the night (which we weren't using). No other contact was made.

Very nice facility with everything anyone could expect. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The staff in the dining area was very pleasant and attentive. Eric was especially professional, friendly and eager to ensure an excellent dining and overall experience. The hotel is extremely convenient to walkable locations, attractions, restaurants, etc. The one issue to mention which is not under their control is that the back side rooms of the hotel face towards a busy night life area a block away and it was noisy one night until about 2 -3AM.

I appreciated the convenience of the property's proximity to RiverStreet. I was disappointed in the lack of coffee for guests in the lobby the entire weekend I was there. If you leave it out, please refill the pots for guests to partake. Additionally I was on the 4th floor and an overwhelming sewage smell hit me pretty hard in the hallway, and through the vents in my room.

The pros for this hotel are: 1. location can not be beat, 2. the beds are incredible - very comfortable with good sheets, 3. the hot tub is nice. The cons are 1. It is VERY noisy, 2. there is really no food on property and the bar is basically just beer, and 3. the facilities are generally a bit worn. I did like the hang out areas of the hotel and they are pretty cool. But the noise from both the highway in the front and the partiers in the. back is extreme.

Everything was excellent. I loved the four pillows on each bed and the bed linens were excellent. The only complaint I have is that the AC was off when we got to the room. I feel it should have been on and set at 75. Coming into a steamy room was not appropriate for the price point of the hotel. We were staying there because we lost power during Helene. Another huge plus was the 12:00 checkout! That rocked.
