President’s Retreat is a truly relaxing oasis in the middle of our bustling Historic District. This home offers plenty of privacy, including a private courtyard and parking, while being just three blocks from River Street and a short walk from Broughton Street, the hub of downtown Savannah’s shopping.

This modern two-bedroom home has an open living space with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out into the courtyard. There’s plenty of comfortable seating, and a large flat screen TV for some quality downtime. Birthday celebrations
Stayed for the weekend and celebrated two ladies birthdays. Property is in a great location to all popular spots in Savannah. Tybee Island was a short drive. As explained in previous reviews the patio is nice to hang out on but bring your own chairs. The couch is stained and not good place to sit. The second bedroom is open to the living room below, so it can get noisy. Anybody in the downstairs area can hear you and you can hear them. Bed was comfy. Enjoyed the town. Thanks

For St Patrick’s day get away we stayed here. Location was amazing. Near parade route, local restaurants and trolley line. Place was clean and well stocked with kitchen and personal needs for an effortless stay. While kitchen is small it is very functional- easy for 2-3 to be working in meal at the same time. Extra bathroom downstairs helped very much with one limited mobility person with us. Check in and out was seamless. Highly recommended.

Great location within walking distance to everything. Clean bathrooms and bedrooms, spacious. Nice for four adults! Did not have any issues during our stay. Wish court yard had been clean so we could have enjoyed sitting outside. The area was very dirty with leaves and cushions to dirty to sit on.

Overall it was a good experience. Needs some tlc and cleaning. I could not change the speed of the ceiling fan in the back bedroom,it is stuck on high, and it has a thick layer of dust on the blades. Operating the tv was more challenging than it should be. All the locks need some tlc. The front patio was nice and it would have been better if we could have used it. It was covered with leaves and the furniture was really dirty. The back wood gate at the parking space is really hard to operate due to it dragging on the concrete.

Loved the location
Was within a nice walking distance of most places we visited. Loved that we had our own parking spot and didn't have to deal with paying each time we came and went. There were no dressers in either bedroom so we used the shelves in the closest but more shelves or hangers would have been nicer.

Great location, but problematic rental
The location was convenient to walk historic Savannah and the rates were reasonable. Parking was a plus. BUT one bedroom was a loft that opened to the lower level. This was problematic in terms of sound, light and privacy. You could hear any sounds being made in the kitchen, dining room and living room in the bedroom - and visa versa. The loft bedroom also was open to a wall of windows and there was no way to block the light. There were no dressers or drawers in the bedrooms. The living room had no lighting except one small goose neck lamp - it was impossible to read in that room and was uncomfortable to sit there and talk. Lighting in the bedroom was also very dim. No recycling instructions.

Best little townhouse
This place was not only beautiful and clean but quite and private while still being 8 minutes walking distance to river street. Great restaurants all around and all within walking distance. Each bedroom has its own balcony and full bath with large closets. We absolutely loved this place and hope to revisit soon! The host sent friendly reminders and made sure we had all the information we needed during our stay. Definitely recommend!

Necessary improvements
This is a spacious apartment with two bedrooms on the second floor. HOWEVER, there are some things that have been neglected. The front bedroom faces on the street. The wall facing the street is a more that 10 foot long window from waist high to the ceiling. This window is not curtained, nor is the door, leading to a small balcony which is also facing the street. It is very easy to see in and out at all times which makes it very uncomfortable. It needs a curtain! The second bedroom facing the lane behind the house also has two faults. The mattress on the bed is so high that a short person (say under 5 foot 5 inches) has a very difficult time climbing on the bed. There is no stool provided. Nor are there reading lamps on both sides of the bed. (An extra lamp in the closet downstairs does not work). If these SERIOUS faults were fixed I would highly recommend the apartment.

Location and weather was great. The Apartment was OK at best. It was within walking distance of some really good restaurants. The courtyard was comfortable but not cleaned very well (more than leafs). And having a parking spot was nice. On the down side, it was somewhat dated compared to the photographs. Lacked in incidental furniture (night stands, bureaus, etc.). The couch was broken, the Ice-maker was frozen solid and the furniture configuration for watching the only TV (not HD or very old HD) was uncomfortable for 4 adults. The A/C was noisy (we got used to it) but worked well. The beds were comfortable and the towels were fluffy and soft. Soap dishes for the vanities would have been a nice touch in the bathrooms. We have stayed in Savannah 4 times now. Each time in a rental we found on VRBO. While none of the apartments have been a disappointment (a couple were historic structures) this particular one would receive the lowest rating when considering all the above along with the price. However, this one would be the easiest to upgrade and with a few fixes could easily jump to the top.

Ideal Location for Exploring Savannah on foot
Very clean, uncluttered condo with walled courtyard that provided privacy and a place to enjoy an evening glass of wine in the open air. Property is a 3 block walk to Bay Street and most of the squares in the Historic District. Both of the bedrooms and baths were comfortable and stocked with toiletries and ample fluffy linens. Kitchen, while narrow, was well appointed.

A Good Stay
The beds were super comfortable. I slept all night (which is rare). I could not get the back door to lock or unlock with the given codes. I had to exit and enter through the front. The patio needed cleaning and the cushions on the patio furniture. However, these things were not a deal breaker. My family and I enjoyed the accommodations. Very clean. I would rent this condo again.

What a dump!
The online profile is very misleading. Numerous lights were burnt out. Some lights/fans wouldn’t even turn on. The whole place just wasn’t clean like you’d expect. Old nasty shower heads and the water temperature was a gamble every shower. This is definitely not a two bedroom! One room is a loft that is right in front of 3 huge windows that anyone on the street can see you clearly walking around the “bedroom”, so no privacy in your bedroom. The bathroom for the loft ‘bedroom’ was the size of a half bath. Sheets were stained. Couch is broken looking to where you don’t want to sit on it and be blamed for it breaking. Ice maker doesn’t make ice. Just an overall dump, you’d have a nicer stay at Motel 6.

Modern Convenient to Everything
Reservations were easy and we loved the fact that it was professionally managed. Everything we needed was available via an app. The accomodations were spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Unit was conveniently located so we walked everywhere. Loved that we had a dedicated parking space. The unit was clean although could have used a deep cleaning...dusty baseboards, ceiling fans and bathroom cabinets. The outdoor patio really needs to be addressed. Owner should consider installing a privacy curtain or screen in the secondary bedroom . Overall a great place. I would stay here again with my family.

Not so pleased!
The staff was very helpful and the check-in was extremely easy! I really didn't care for the area. It didn't feel quite as safe as I would have liked especially walking at night. The interior was clean and neat but the outside patio was very unkept & the outdoor furniture was in need of repair. I do have to say the bed in the large bedroom was very comfortable. The other bedroom is actually more like a loft as you can see & hear what is going on in the living room downstairs. It was hard to get dressed because you could be seen from the buildings across the street and by traffic.
