Liked the "old school" look and feel of the place. Is a very quiet facility, and the kitchen supplies were helpful. Did not like the place is dark, and needs more light in the rooms in my mind. I also was not happy that a $100 deposit is taken when you check in, this was never announced in pre booking, I had the money, but eveeryone wont have that to spare. It was returned no issue.

Upon arrival the check in was pleasant and easy however I do wish they mention a refundable deposit fee. The issue I had was with my room, the bed was untouched and as I laid down I felt a piece of paper. I pulled back the covers and didn’t didn’t find it under but I found it in between the sheets and comforter as though the bedding was not changed. The paper was a paper they give all guest upon arrival and it was in our bed spread. I went to the front desk and told them and they told me that it was the maid and they left it. However I felt the bedspread wasn’t clean and requested new one and they claimed to have none. I was then asked if I wanted to move room at 11;30 at night. I said yes and we were upgraded and moved. I do appreciate this however I truly wish I would have received compensation or any apologies about this occurring. I am still unsure how a piece of paper got into my bed spread that was already made and untouched by me.

The employee who checked us in was not friendly. The room smelled bad when we first entered and did not go away. It appeared that there may have been something stuck in the garbage disposal. The refrigerator made a constant, very annoying clicking sound. On check out I asked the front desk employee for a receipt. He asked if he could email it. I said ok and provided my address. Did not receive the receipt.

It is very unfortunate how much the property managers have let this hotel go. It has so much potential, especially for business users. It is in desperate need of a remodel, but even before that, it needs staff that take pride in their work and care about their customers. The furniture in the lobby is stained and looks very unclean and uninviting, despite the nice fireplace. It left me wondering how clean the room would actually be if they can't even clean their lobby furniture. There is no restroom in the lobby and when sent to the 4th floor, there is no direction as to where to find the "mystery public restroom". The hallway carpets are coming up and are bunched in areas causing a tripping hazard. In the room itself, the couch was extremely uncomfortable and hard to sit on. You either were falling into it, or sitting on a hard, uneven part of it. The counters are cracking and the flooring transition had black tape on it, making it appear like a construction zone. The room had a lot of space, which gives it a lot of potential. But the whole hotel needs a lot of love.

This hotel was great for my single night stay in Seattle. I found a great deal for a studio suite, I highly recommend it! The location was a little isolated from shopping etc, so that made it fairly quiet, which I enjoy. I think the amenities are fair for the price paid and I think this is a great place to stay for a short trip.

Our room smelled horrible! The front desk said that they could not change my room because that was the only handicapped room that they had. So I asked if they had room freshener and they told me housekeeping had left for the night and they didn’t have any at the desk. I will never stay there again!!!
