About the neighborhood:
We are centrally located just off of Interstate 5, where downtown Seattle meets Capitol Hill (think restaurants!) and First Hill (think all major hospitals). Washington State Convention Center is right next door. Pike Place Market, the waterfront, Belltown, and South Lake Union are just a short distance away.
Getting around:
Being in the heart of Seattle, anywhere in downtown is just a short walk away, or easily accessible by many public transit and ride share options.
It's a 10 minute (0.4 mile/0.6km) walk to Westlake Center where you can take the Monorail (2nd floor) to take you to Seattle Center/Space Needle. While you are there visit the MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture), Chihuly Glass Museum, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Children's Museum. From there walk south-west towards the water for a leisurely stroll at Sculpture Park (owned by Seattle Arts Museum). The Great Wheel and aquarium are located South east of there. When you are all done there, find the steps or elevators to take you to Pike Place Market, the original Starbucks store, Beechers Cheese and so much more. The convention center and the apartment are about 8 blocks from Pike Place Market.
In addition to easy access to many bus lines around the Convention Center, the Link light rail Westlake station is a 10-minute walk away. Via the light rail you can quickly reach some of the must-see nearby places like International District/Chinatown, Pioneer Square and the University of Washington, not to mention an easy ride to/from the airport.
