For $200.00 per night it’s noisy, light comes in through windows. Tight quarters is anticipated but internet is intermittent.

Good Enough if you aren't high maintenance!
It worked for what I needed... A place to sleep, shower, and store my belongings. It is definitely more a BnB without an on-site concierge than a hotel. However, the contact number was very responsive when needed and walked me through check-in. They also were kind enough to store my luggage after check-out for a few hours.

Convenient location. Difficulty to accessing room key as their digital system was not working and I was not advised of this in advance. I had to text them and wait for their call back which was inconvenient. The female staff who did assist was very helpful and friendly. There were black marks on the white sheets and the blanket had a lot of hair on it.

The door handle to the room fell off twice. The maintenance worker that came down to repair it the second time, did not not before they entered. The television did not work. Also, the check-in system was down so we could not check in via the instructions that were sent via email. Not a great process or experience.

Room was very nicely decorated and well provisioned. We hated not having a person to check us in - will make sure we do not book into human-less accomodation again. When we finally did get a call to assist us the lady was very helpful.

This was a quick stay for us, but the checkin was easy and ability to text back and forth was nice. The place was cute, small but clean and with character. Shower was nice too.

This property is nothing like the pictures. Located next to a university on a side street, no safe parking, and very sketchy building. Immediately cancelled my reservation upon arrival. If I could give 0 stars I would. And they do not give you any money back for cancellation even if you don’t feel safe.

Not a hotel, terrible experience from the start
Not a hotel. Check in app did not work and had to wait outside until they called me to fix the mobile key 30 minutes after I arrived. The room had 2 twin beds as described, but the washroom was separated from the room by a sheer curtain, making it incredibly uncomfortable with another traveler. The house is located directly across from a restaurant/nightclub and we were subject to shouting, loud music and thumping bass past 2:00 AM. Obviously the property is aware of this since disposable earplugs are provided in the room, but these were not sufficient to allow for any sleep until the club shut down for the night. All in all, absolutely the worst stay I’ve had in Seattle and as a frequent traveler will not stay here again.

This is not a review for the Art Inn! They have communicated well with me and tbh the place looks really nice and clean. Hotels.com is a horrible site that I’ll never use again. They won’t let me cancel my reservation after their site made an error. I tried to take care of it 3 days prior. They’re straight up horrible. AGAIN, this is not a bad rating for The Art Inn!! They were great and based upon communication I would highly recommend them!

Seattle is an expensive city, so I recommend you save money wherever possible…. Starting with this inn! My husband and I stayed in Room 101, which was small but mighty. Clean, comfortable, and close to plenty of opportunities to spend your money.

First for the positive reviews, if you have a family member attending Seattle University it’s only a short walk to the dorms. In our room the HVAC system worked well. For those who wish to pay extra for parking, there is a gravel/paved lot behind the house shared by a common road that you can park your car away from the main road. Now for, the not so great parts. The property surrounding the house is full of garbage, around the landscaping and sidewalk. The entry the rooms requires you to go up steep steps and the stairs handles are far out of reach. Not a place for a disabled person. Our room was ok. When you entered your room, the space is divide by two spaces the first entry area has a twin size bed and the second space is where the king size bed is. Caution! You must go up three steps to go into this space. I took a spill as the steps are a different floor material. The first step is a different flooring and the next two are the same color of the carpet, making it hard to see the steps. Thank goodness I didn’t get hurt. The windows are fogged up due to seal failure of the dual pane windows. The curtains are vinyl sheets that are placed barely covering the windows. The bathroom is small and the shower water temperature was warm. The walls in the bathroom had the brackets left over of what use to be a towel ring or robe hook that was no longer there. I was under the impression this place was an old charming restored charm inn. Unfortunately it fell short of that.

If I'm going to pay $200 for one night I expect that the bed will have a quality mattress. The mattress in my room provided zero support. Hopefully my chiropractor can fix what that mattress did to me. I'm still in pain days later.

The ART INN is located on the route of the 3/4 bus route with a stop close by so it's easy to reach from central Seattle. Access is by phone app which I had some difficulties with as the key code would not initially download and is only accessible after 3pm on the day of arrival. Unlocking of the door to the room was very very slow so hang on until it unlocks. The room and bed were comfortable but when I took a shower at 1030pm the water was only just at body temperature and thus not pleasant. I checked in the morning and it was hot so someone had run the system out of hot water the night I arrived. The WiFi worked well. There is no staff on site so all communication us by WhatsApp, email or messaging although there is a phone number. Communications were answered quickly but all very impersonal which may suit some by not everyone.
