All the staff were very nice & very helpful even though , except the CEO, others were not fluent in English. Our flight arrived late and we reached Hostel Tommy at 1 am. Had no toruble with self check-in. It is quiet a place, just a 5-6 minutes walk from Jongno 3-ga subway station and 15 - 20 minutes walking distance to palaces. There is a 7-11 on ground floor of this building several eating places near the subway station. Breakfast is simple cereals & toast . But you can use the microwave and dining / common area throught the day. The only discordant note was about room cleaning. It was mentioned that it would be done every third day. We stayed for four days. Our room was not cleaned. Since we could get fresh towels from reception ( and leave the old ones there) it was not a big deal for us. But would have been nice. We do look forward to staying here on our future visit.

Tommy and Nicholas were so friendly and made us feel so welcome! They went out of their way to be helpful and gave us loads of good tips for our trip. In fact we tried to book again on our way back but it was booked out. Highly recommended, really great location to walk around, eat and enjoy Seoul! Thank you!

We had a great stay! Tommy was wonderful and the rest of the staff was very kind. The AC and shower could use an update but other than that everything was perfect. We will definitely stay again if we are back in seoul

This hostel was very ideally located for visiting many places, including Jongmyo shrine and Insa-dong. It is also fairly close to the Jongno 3-ga subway station, so transportation is easy. The rooms were very clean, and I enjoyed having a private bathroom.

This hostel is in a great area. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The whole place was clean and welcoming. It was a great stay.

The hotel location is really great, walkable from the stations and famous attractions such as palaces. There are also convenient stores nearby, and one is right next to the hotel. Tommy and staff are really kind and helpful. The room was also warm and comfortable.

Location and price was good The airport bus stop was a few minutes walk from the hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no elevator, I had to carry my big luggages upstairs to the reception and room.

This is my first time at Hostel Tommy. I was very impressed everything in this hostel. First, the hostel is very close to subway station (Jongno 3-ga) you can reach there only 3 minutes by walk. Moreover, the hostel is very close to 2 supermarkets and many Korean restaurants. You can walk only 3-5 minutes to popular touritst destination like Changdeokgung Palace from the hostel. What's a convenient!!!! All staff here is very friendly and helpful. They all can speak English well and ready to help you if you want. Room size is bigger than I imagine and all facilities is good. It would be better if the towel is bigger. I highly recommend you all to stay here and next time in Seoul, I promise I'll be here again.

Reception: Was welcomed by Mr Tommy himself and I have to say it was certainly one of the most heartwarming welcomes i have received considering how i am a frequent traveller. Fast check-in too as the room was ready upon arrival. Just to note that there is a flight of stairs to climb, so moving the luggages up might be slightly challenging at times. Room: The room is clean and have adequate amenities within, just take note that used towels have to be brought out to the main area in exchange for new ones. There is also floor heating in the room so not too worry if you're visiting during the winter period. Simple breakfast provided - eg. cereals, bread, eggs, coffee/tea/milk Location: 5 mins walk away from the Jongno 3(sam)-ga subway station, so that's a very big plus! 10-15 mins walk away from the famous Insadong street. Convenience stores are just downstairs and along the street to/from the subway station. Pretty quiet, yet still safe when walking in the vicinity at night. Price point: Value for money! You definitely get more than what you've paid for!
