We had a lovely stay at the Shilla Stay hotel in the Seocho area of Gangnam. The hotel is close to the Gangnam subway station, shopping area and restaurants. The staff were all friendly, courteous and spoke English very well. All in all, a great stay!

Walkable to Gangnam station area when different breakfast options are easily available. Room is specious enough to fully open 2 medium size suitcases. However, given that this hotel hasn't opened for a long time, the room is slightly worn out. The design/choice of materials (type of tile used in the bathroom, thin wooden floor) make it looks dated. Bathroom has a bit of mold as well, and I am not sure if I like the idea of using disposable paper cup (drinking/teeth brushing) in an IHG hotel.

제가 지냈던 기간동안 낮 시간에 온수가 안나온다고 했던 불편한 점이 있었습니다. 덕분에 executive lounge를 사용하게 해주셔서 지내는 기간동안 잘 사용하였습니다. 조식포함 7박 8일 자내는 동안 조식을 잘 이용하였는데 메뉴가 단 한번도 바뀌지 않아서 질려서 못먹었던 날이 있었습니다. 신라스테이 서초에서 가장 좋았던 것은 주변지역 교통과 쇼핑 먹거리가 편하다는 점이었습니다.

I didn’t like the cleanness of this property. There were molds in the bathroom tubs and spider webs on the ceiling. The paper walls were coming off. Not the quality I expected for what I paid for.

For an American visiting Asia for the first time, this hotel was perfect. A very nice place staffed by very people in a super area. If i go back to Seoul, I'll stay here again.
