Felt very luxurious. The pool is a nice addition. Location is amazing. Close to Chinatown and Maxwell Food Centre. Close to bus stops, MRT stations (maxwell, chinatown, outram park). A very convenient location. Setvice was great no complaints at all.

Underwhelmed
All good except for practical details. No storage area for any clothes, underwear, shorts, socks, etc. Forced to use suitcase instead as there were no usable drawers, just exposed hangers. Laughable desk/table - of no real use if you have to work and need space for a laptop and papers. Presumably a desire to be fashionable rather than practical.

Hotel is great, very modern and clean. Staff were friendly but could have been a bit more engaging considering it's a 5 star hotel. Rooms a tad small for the price. Rooftop pool and bar are stunning with great views. Area (Duxton Hill) is superb for restaurants.

I had a great experience at this hotel and highly recommend it. The location is perfect, with food options everywhere. The hotel amenities, service, and cleaning are wonderful, and it also has three restaurants.

Loved everything about the hotel. Like a 5 star boutique hotel, close to everything, great staff at reception and concierge. Concierge couldn’t be more helpful and obliging and respectful. They were the best we have ever encountered. Christina’s restaurant disappointing. Staff not friendly, went to happy hour for drinks and so we made the most of it, to find out when we were paying the bill, that they had the happy hour menu next to the register and not on the tables. It cost us $192. The signage at the concierge does not mention see happy hour menu, implying all drinks apply. We told staff and signage did not change. Didn’t use Christina’s again. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

1. Room and bathroom were small and it looked like shower was added as an afterthought as it was in the room itself 2. No amenities provided eg cotton pads, shower cap 3. Weird stains on bathroom door and given it is such a tight space anyway we hated using the loo 4. Housekeeping was very slow and rude 5. The hotel has no proper lobby or sitting area which was inconvenient My family were staying at the Carlton City Hotel and they didn’t have any of the above issues when I visited them at their room. It was huge, had amenities, beautiful lobby and pleasant, helpful staff Wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It is not a 5 star and not worth the money My family stayed at the Carlton City Hotel
