This is a very beautiful and special hotel. The room was lovely, the staff were wonderful and very helpful, and the area is frankly awesome! A very special part if singapore: old, not too touristy, and beautiful historic architecture. Downside was a TINY bathroom, hearing the guest above us, and the hotel does not serve alcohol. Not an issue but website should state this. Overall we loved the Sultan and highly recommend it!

Nice to be in a character hotel, be aware the restaurant is halal and no alcohol served, but plenty of places close by to enjoy a drink

A really nice place to stay, a short walk from Lavender MRT station or, bus 107 stops out front. Staff were excellent. Rooms comfortable but bad knees or back make it a bit difficult: no chair or table; sit cross-legged at end of mattress to boil kettle. All very easy for the more agile. Would definitely stay there again. Lots of eating option within two blocks, including in-house French cuisine or, Little India close.

Overall it's very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was tastefully decorated and well-equipped with amenities. Espresso maker was appreciated. Just a bit noise from upstairs during the night when people returned from their night out

Handy location for walking round Arabic and Little India districts. Felt safe. Hotel was goo. Room was very big only negative was the very tiny bathroom and very poor lighting in the room. Was hard to see for reading etc.

Tiny room, but nice and good
A very small room, but very modern and nice. Tea and coffee facilities in the room a good location for Arab Street and Haji Lane. Plenty of good breakfast venues, available. hop on and hop off bus right in front of the hotel. I would stay again, but I hated the tiny tiny room.
