We enjoyed our time with 1840 b&b. We were to attend a family wedding in the area and we can highly recommend the town of Merrickville as a destination for a very special occasion. The hospitality, location and walkability, plus the excellent quality of the area for a relaxing and comfortable getaway will encourage you to return again and feel your life is as you deserve it to be.

We only stayed one night that we immediately regretted. Should have booked two! Beautiful place to stay and relax. Spa, hot tub and pool. Pool table. And the two dogs Duke and Duchess that rule the place. Already planning our next getaway to Merrickville so we can stay there again 10/10

The unit and hotel was in excellent shape. The grounds were kept beautifully. Staff was polite, friendly and willing to offer assistance when required. Overall, a great experience. We're going back in a couple of weeks.

This property had it all ..huge bedroom, very large games room, pool, hot tub, suana beside a park on the Rideau Canal. Our ship did come in! 2 blocks from Main St. and best ice cream ever. Gorgeous.

Wow! The pictures don’t do the place justice. We stayed in room 5 which is in the newer building and absolutely lovely! It was slightly more expensive than a regular room but worth every penny! The hostess, Caroline was very welcoming and the accommodations were first rate! Merrickville is very quaint with lots of local shops that are bougie cool but not crazy expensive. I highly recommend the 1840 House! One side note for American travelers- your US streaming services only work in the US. Great news, though- whatever the heck Crave is has a kajlllion channels and they are available for your stay.
