Private Studio Apartment with breathtaking views. Fully furnished with all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation. Walking distance to main Bermuda attractions.

Located on a hill with simply breathtaking views of Jews Bay. The studio is part of a large house with a separate entrance.

The studio is prettily furnished with a spacious queen-size bed, a love seat and a dining table. There are further amenities including a flat TV with cable vision, DVD, local prepaid phone and WiFi. For your comfort there is heating, air conditioning and ceiling fan. There are no laundry machines but for guests staying for more than 3 days we offer laundry service. The bath facilities are a shower, sink and toilet arrangement. Within the closet is everything else you might need such as an iron, hair dryer, towels, soaps, a cooler bag, beach chairs and beach towels.

The kitchen is fully equipped with china and glasses plus a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave oven, electric stove and fridge with a freezer. There is a small charcoal barbecue to enjoy outside while looking at the wonderful view and having a drink in the outdoor sitting area.

Guest Access

Located within walking distance of the pink and silver sands of Horseshoe Bay Beach and Church Bay, the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, the Railway Trail, many restaurants. There are four golf courses nearby for you to play: the Fairmont Princess Golf Club (walking distance), Riddell’s Bay, The Belmont Golf Course, and the Port Royal Golf Course are all within 15 minutes of the property by moped and each offers its own unique challenge.

The Neighborhood

Very safe neighborhood.
A Southampton location is considered to be a very attractive option for visitors in the know. Although the locations in the closest proximity to the beaches of the South Shore tend to be in the most demand, the 22 mile length of the island and its width of less than a mile in most places means that access to those beaches is easy by bus or by moped and that’s only after you have savored the pretty beaches in the immediate area.

You will have the pleasure of exploring the spectacular beaches along the southern coastline: The stunning Church Bay offer wonderful South Shore snorkeling opportunities as well as pink, shell strewn beaches to explore (the famous ones such as Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay are renowned, but you will not want to miss the stunning trio of secret coves tucked between those two larger beaches- Chaplin Bay, Stonehole Bay and Jobson’s Cove. These three are the last word in romantic pink sand and gentle surf in splendid seclusion. Snorkeling equipment can be rented at Church Bay and several of the larger beaches such as Horseshoe).

Getting around

Public transportation stops are a 10 minute walk. For vacationers wanting to rent scooters or bicycles, you can get them within 10 minutes walk of the property at Smatt's Rental located in the Southampton Princess property or Oleander cycles on South Shore Road.

Other Things to Note

Closer than Hamilton for fine dining are the excellent facilities of The Reefs Resort in Southampton: their open-air Coconuts restaurant overlooking their private silvery sand beach will arrange a table on the beach with candles, full linens and silverware and delectable meal for your never-to-be-forgotten evening celebration. Also The Waterlot Inn at the Southampton Princess Hotel and The Dining Room in the Lighthouse. For more casual dining we have Henry VII restaurant and bar and Ocean Club down on the beach of the Southampton Princess Hotel and many more restaurants.

The property was private and quite. The views were nice. It was about a 20 minute walk to the beach. There was a hotel nearby where you can have a meal. Taxi service was a phone call away.

As a frequent traveler I've stayed at all the hotels and resorts and like to stay at local places to get a better experience of the local cultures. Thus property was just that. Clean, safe, within walking distance of beaches, grocery and restaurants. Sylvia the hostess was very friendly and helpful. The property had beautiful views and was relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would sray ther again.

We were there from Tuesday, Apr 30 through Wed., May 8. Silvia, the owner, was very helpful and pleasant. Location near a bus stop and the Fairmont Southampton hotel was big plus. Also more than a few good restaurants were within walking distance. Private location, great view.

Great Southampton Location
My wife and I spent just under a week at Panatola. It's location was perfect for us: within walking distance to the south shore beaches, several restaurants and Gibb's Hill Lighthouse, and easy access to the Railway Trail (great for early morning runs). The apartment was bright, well ordered, and quite honestly larger than the pictures make it look. Plenty of utensils and cookware in the kitchen for those of you that don't want to eat out every meal. There is also a Twizy charger onsite, which made it possible for us to never worry about a full battery for the three days we had our electric car rental. Lastly, our host Silvia was extremely kind and responsive to all of our questions. She even scheduled our taxi to pick us up for the airport for our flight home. Panatola was a great home base to experience Bermuda.

Lovely property in a great location
My husband and I stayed here for 9 days. The property is perfectly located to walk to several beaches, stores, many restaurants, scooter rental and Gibbs lighthouse. Silvia was lovely to work with and adds nice thoughtful touches to her studio. The view is beautiful and the studio is quite comfortable. I would highly recommend this location. Clean, very quiet, great location with access to so much, so close!
We were welcomed by the owner when we arrived and given a tour of the property. We found the grounds clean and well maintained as well as the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed, including 2 beach bags with two beach chairs, snorkels, and extra beach towels. The kitchen was well furnished and we did do a little cooking. It made the place feel like home to be able to cook a nice breakfast before our adventurous days. So close to the light house, the fairmont hotel, and two separate bus routes. Horseshoe bay beach was very close, and we made the walk several times. You can also take advantage of the fairmont hotel shuttle from time to time. The location of this property makes reaching anywhere on the island very manageable. We visited the dockyard, Hamilton (including Fort Hamilton) Horseshoe Bay, the Crystal Caves and Blue Grotto, Gibbs Hill Light House, and a nice BBQ at the Princess Hamilton Beach Club. We did all that in 5 days, 4 nights. That should demonstrate how accessible the island is from the property. We loved our stay, and we loved the island. I would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to any couple looking for a quiet, romantic getaway. This was our 15th Wedding Anniversary and we couldn't be more pleased.

Great location and spacious studio
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Silvia's place for 6 days. She is a gracious host. It is a great location - a 5 minute walk to the South Hampton Princess and we went to our favorite restaurant on the Princess property, The Ocean Club . We also walked to the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse for an excellent dinner. We rented a moped from Oleander's and went to St. George and the Naval Dockyard for an afternoon. We also loved going to Horseshoe Bay Beach almost everyday. The only negative we experienced were the tiny ants in the kitchen and Silvia said she would take care of it. A wonderful getaway!

Our stay was very nice. The location was close to lots of great restaurants and a pretty easy walk to horse shoe bay. We got to see lots of South Hampton during our stay and Silvia, the host,was very sweet and accommodating. Would highly recommend if you are looking to see this part of the Island.

Great locations
We stayed here for 5 nights in early May. We wanted to stay near Horseshoe Bay Beach and this was as close as we could get for a very reasonable price. This is an efficiency apartment connected to the owners home. It has a private entrance and you have all the privacy you want. It is high up a hill so you get a beautiful view of Great Sound. It’s located right between south and middle road so just 5 to 10 minutes from a bus stop. About a 20 minute walk from Horseshoe Beach. 5 to 10 minutes from several nice restaurants. Closest is Boundaries at the South Hampton Princess Golf course. Ate there twice because it was delicious and the closest walk. The unit has a kitchen that is good for making breakfasts and lunch. I wouldn’t try a full scale dinner. Fridge/freezer quite small so you cant fit too much food at one time. Sylvia had orange juice and coffee cream stocked and there are a few basic condiments and spices so check before you make a trip to the market. Plenty of towels for 2 people for the week which you will go through as towels don’t dry well in the high humidity. Also 4 beach towels provided. Unit was clean. This is not your high end luxury condo but very adequate for the time you spend there. We were out exploring everyday and averaged walking 5 miles a day. I would highly recommend reserving and renting a twizzy car (at the South Hampton Princess) it was a great way to explore the island if scooters aren’t for you. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This property is located in a lovely area, very convenient to bus, close to Southhampton Hotel, Henry VIII restaurant and Gibb's Hill. Nice walking trail nearby too! Inside is nicely furnished with all the things you need to live comfortably. The outside amenities are not exactly as described - the outside grill is an old rather rusty hibachi that uses charcoal and the Adirondack chairs have seen better days for sure. I would have appreciated a food safety warning as the kitchen was full of tiny ants as soon as they found my food - do not leave any food in the cupboards, keep it in the fridge. Having said all this, I would go back to this location. I fell in love with Bermuda, the colors, the water, the sand, the local people! Do yourself a favor and visit!

Bermuda Love
Our first time visit was a win and Panatola studio made that happen. Location with privacy in the shadows of the Gibbs Lighthouse we awoke each day to glorious Bay views as we opened the French door to our homemade breakfast sitting outside. The unit is well equipped and we cooked all breakfast and many dinners there. Closet space great, tv selection perfect, good reading and some movies. Being visited by Lola the pup a plus! Silvia provides milk, oj and kitchen necessities, generously washed our needed laundry since staying 8 nights. We chose pedal bikes for the week, a not so common choice and used the Railway Trail. Not always clearly marked and briefly on busy streets at times were occasional challenges there but we two over 65 loved the adventure. (It is some significant up and down and mountain bike is necessary for the varied terrain). America's Cup qualifying was spectacular and Bermuda Day parade great fun. St George not to be missed ( one of us loved the perfumery) and we had delicious lunch at The Tempest. There is a great hike from Horseshoe for miles with coves, rocks and sea at every corner. A lunch at Gulfstream was delicious ( gf pizza available)Also walked maybe 5 minutes and dined up at the Fairmont's Bacci one dinner feasting on gluten free pasta. Aside from the bikes, we used the bus system and the unit has access to Hamilton/Dockyard buses either on South or Middle road... 15 tickets offer substantial savings and used 4 on ferry rides. Sad to leave, hope to return. Thank you Silvia!

Bright and Clean, exactly as pictured!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Panatola Studio. After staying 2 nights in St Georges this location afforded us great access to the rest of Bermuda. We enjoyed walking to Gibbs Light House for the tour and another night for an excellent Dinner. There is walking access to bus routes, but hills so take your time! (We chose not to rent mopeds as there is quite alot of quickly moving traffic on Bermuda, which seemed too challenging when considering the adjustment of driving on the other side of the road and especially roundabouts!) We did take advantage of the close proximity to the Fairmont Southampton for its Restaurants & Shops. Silvia left basic provisions in the Kitchen which was very thoughtful and quite helpful as there is no market within walking distance. The Studio has A/C, Fans & excellent WIFI and TV reception. Budget for a $50 cab ride from the Airport one way. I would definitely recommend the Studio to family and friends!
