Auchterlonie Lodge lies in the beautiful hamlet of Mount Melville on the western outskirts of St Andrews. The semi-detached house has undergone a complete renovation and is new to the holiday rental market. It occupies a beautiful location overlooking The Duke's golf course and benefits from private parking and generous gardens and outside space.
The renovation has been undertaken very much with self-catering in mind with four bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities and the ground floor bedroom being suitable for guests with mobility issues. The owners have sought to provide everything that might be needed for a comfortable and rewarding stay.
On entering the house you come into a spacious hall with a cloakroom/toilet. Straight ahead is access to a utility room with a washing machine and a large stainless steel sink ideal for cleaning down golf clubs.
Turning left off the hall takes you into the living/kitchen/dining space. This room is the full depth of the house and provides a large living area with a beautiful bay window, comfortable seating for eight and a Smart TV. The kitchen is, as you would expect, fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a dining table that will comfortably take eight people. There are patio doors taking you out to the rear garden patio where you will find garden furniture.
Back inside there is a double bedroom through a short corridor off the living room. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room that is really a wet-room and as such this is the ideal "suite" if one of the party had any mobility issues. The bedroom has a set of patio doors that lead to a small terrace. The bedroom can be set up as either a king size or twin beds.
The stairs are off the kitchen and take you up to three further bedrooms, two have the king size/twin option and the third is a fixed twin. Each bedroom has its own en-suite shower room. Each of the bedrooms has plenty of storage and hanging space.
There are lovely garden grounds to the front of the house and the driveway will provide parking for up to three cars.
All in all the owners have created a wonderful holiday property in this peaceful setting just a short drive from St Andrews town centre. It will make a superb base for you to experience St Andrews and the beautiful East Neuk of Fife.
