Comfortable Nostalgia
I loved the quiet, beachy feel of Magic Beach. It made me feel connected to simpler times and the beach vacations our parents and grandparents used to take. It was nice to park right in front of our room and get to things very easily. We had a kitchen which was a plus. The room itself was quiet and comfortable. The beds were perfect. Every day, we walked out the door to the beach just steps to the east. There is a view of the lighthouse and island just past the large rocks. There is a perfect view of the lighthouse shining at night, from the beach or a paved parking spot along the causeway. If you have four wheel drive, you can even drive and park on the sand. We drove across the bridge to downtown and all of the sights. There is so much to do within a few minutes of the hotel. We will be back!

Surfside Six
This is a funky, retro type of motel that reminded us of the 60's. The room was clean & the bed was very comfy, but bathroom was on the small side. Our 1 night stay was good & I appreciated the remote control device for lights & fan. It would be good to have a vending machine fir water & beverages, but the man on duty when we checked out gave us his bottles of water - very nice & much appreciated! It was a cute little place right next to the beach.

The motel is dirty and broken. Reserved two nights and arrived late the first night. Almost left that night, but we had driven all day. Left early the next morning. The only reason I gave two stars rather than one is the front desk receptionist was awesome. She refunded my second day even though she didn’t have to. The only reason I’m leaving this review is because I reserved here relying on reviews I’d seen from here.

Friendly staff, the room was immaculately clean, walking distance to a grocery store, fishing pier, beach and coffee shop. Excellent price. This is definitely added to our favorites and hope to visit again soon.

I liked the room and was right near the beach to enjoy that. They gave me another room after the first one the microwave wasnt high quality. I liked the murals. There was some sort of discrepancy over the pool time, because she wrote down on my card open from Dawn till dusk and then after dusk, she wrote 9 PM . And then I went to the pool. I went to the front desk to get a pool towel around like 7:30ish or sometime like that and she said that it was closed cause it was after dark. So that was a little confusing why she would write 9pm. Anyway, the bed was comfortable, the showers and water could be hot, very hot if needed. That was nice. Overall i liked it. I would stay there again.
