First impressions matter. I had a bad feeling when I heard no communication from the host - I had to contact them to ask for entry details.
The site listed an 11am checkout time, which was important for our plans. When asked, the host responded that they didn't know why it said 11, and that it had been 10am for years. They offered a 10:30 checkout time. That didn't work for our plans - nor should it have to based on the advertised time.
Upon entering, the very strong scent of bad air freshener overwhelmed us. The towels were bleach stained and ripped, there were cobwebs in the corners and hair in the tub.
The rooms are as pictured - if you don't look too closely. This is an older building with plaster walls. While the walls had fresher paint, the plaster below was visibly crumbling.
Beds were comfortable, although they also smelled like the air freshener.
Location is decent.
The dog downstairs barks. A lot.
It's okay if you need a clean bed to sleep in, but it really isn't a place I would want to return.
