Charming Soulard 1 bedroom apartment is furnished with 2 beds (1 queen and 1 twin daybed, sleeps 3), in unit washer/dryer, tub/shower combo full bathroom, and everything you need for a great stay in our home away from home. Free high speed internet/wifi along with access to Netflix and Hulu during your stay. Kitchen is fully stocked with all your essential cookware, brand new stove & microwave, and an eat-in kitchen.

This unit is located in the Soulard Historic Bar District within walking distance to many popular restaurants/bars, the Soulard Farmer's Market, and live music venues. Located within minutes of downtown, the Arch, the Cardinals games at Busch Stadium, and several major hospitals. The Soulard neighborhood can be very lively and sometimes noisy on nights and weekends with the Great Grizzly Bar and foot traffic. We have blackout curtains to help. If you are searching for a quiet place, please note that this unit may not be suitable for you.

Please Note: Basement bedroom has a ceiling height of 80". Not suitable for anyone taller than that.

POLICIES:

Guest Access: You will have private access to your unit with coded doors along with washer/dryer in bedroom plus the shared courtyard. The front door is keyless entry and auto-lock after 30 seconds. Please make sure doors are closed tightly and all the way to ensure that the deadbolt can fully lock.

Interaction with Guests: You have the place to yourself and we will respect your privacy. However, we are available for help or provide recommendations usually via app message, phone, or text and will reply as soon as we are able. Interested in an extended stay? We can definitely accommodate that. Please contact me regarding specific needs and I will be happy to work with you.

Events: No parties or events are allowed. A $300 charge will incur if events/parties are thrown, and the reservation will be terminated with no refund provided.

Smoking: We have a strict no-smoking policy of any kind (cigarette, marijuana, vapes, etc.) inside the building or on the front/back steps of the building. Smoking is only permitted outside, and guests are responsible for cleaning up cigarette butts. A $300 smoking fee will be charged for smoking inside the unit or the building.

Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep noise levels respectful at all times, and refrain from loud devices or disruptive behavior.

Safety & Security: The unit is for registered guests only. No unregistered overnight guests are allowed without approval, and extra guests will incur a $100 fee per guest per night. Guests are liable for any damage or personal injury they may cause. Please keep all doors locked at all times, and do not tamper with smoke detectors. Use of candles/incense is strictly prohibited. Grilling/BBQ is not allowed on the premises.

Guests are liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause or incur on premises. We cannot accept responsibility for your losses within the premises or in the parking areas.

Housekeeping Service & Essentials: Housekeeping service is not provided during your stay, but extra cleanings are available for an additional fee. A starter kit of basic supplies will be provided, and guests are responsible for replenishing as needed. Dish soap and hand soap are provided but we do not provide shampoo/conditioner/body wash.

AC/Heat: To promote energy conservation, we kindly ask that you turn off all lights as well as heaters/AC units and any appliances when you're not in the unit. Our building's central AC and heating are managed by a Nest Thermostat. It's important not to set the AC below 68 degrees to prevent potential damage to the system, such as freezing pipes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Pets: Pets are welcome with approval and an additional one-time fee. Please clean up after your pet in the unit and backyard. Pets must be crate-trained and crated when left alone in the unit. Excessive barking will result in reservation cancellation without refund. Pets are not allowed on furniture, especially sofas and beds.

Mail & Trash: No mail/packages are allowed to be sent to the unit. Long-term guests can have packages mailed with prior approval, but regular mail is not permitted and will be returned without notice. Dumpsters are in the alley on the side of the building.

Parking: Ample free street parking available. Please observe street sweeping signs.

Laundry: Use of the laundry room is provided for our registered guests only. Persons not residing in an apartment are not allowed the use of these facilities.
- DO NOT overload the machines or put an excessive amount of laundry detergent.
- DO NOT leave unattended clothes in the machines or in the laundry room.

After using the machines, empty the lint screen, wipe off the machines and clean up any mess you have made. If you have any breakdowns or any problems with the machines, please contact management immediately.

TV & Furniture: Smart TV has Netflix and Hulu included, no cable provided. Please do not move furniture without prior approval.

Wifi: Wifi is included with your stay and is provided by a Nest Mesh system. DO NOT unplug the wifi extenders (round white puck devices) as that will disrupt the wifi for your unit and the rest of the building.

Perishables: Some consumables may be provided; check expiration dates. Guests are responsible for inspecting and consuming provided items.

Basement smelled musty like mold
The place was clean enough, however the basement where the bedroom was, smelled like mold the entire time we were there. It gave me a headache. Also parking was difficult--we got a ticket because we didn't read the sign that was over 50 feet away stating they were cleaning the streets and not to park. I wouldn't stay here again.

Disappointing
We have stayed in Soulard before and it’s a great area. The place is large, but is basic. Worn down. No personal touches. No shampoo or soap in the shower. The basement bedroom smells musty. We cooked a couple times and there is no condiments. There is a salt and pepper shaker without salt and pepper. There are no trays to make ice. We had to go to a neighborhood bar to get ice. Next to the home is a homeless encampment. They did not bother us, but there was a fire that firefighters had to come put out. Across the street is construction and a lot of rubble.

Great location, clean and comfortable
My son and I stayed here on a weekend trip to St. Louis. It was easy to navigate from the apartment to the City Museum, the Arch, and the Zoo! Near coffee shops and restaurants. Free street parking (but note that on Sat night, streets fill up with pub-bar crowds). Felt safe and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay In Soulard
The two of us Chicagoans took a quick road trip to St. Louis and found the perfect neighborhood in Soulard. Within a 10-minute walk from Diem's spot was a great selection of bars and restaurants with fantastic patios and live music. Regarding the property itself, we found it to be clean and comfortable. Diem was accessible via phone and vrbo messenger whenever we had questions. Parking was easy and the neighborhood felt safe. When we return to Soulard, this is the place we will be staying at.

This was our first time using VRBO, and our stay was beyond our expectations. The bed was so comfortable, I wanted to go buy one for our house. We were close to all that great things St. Louis has to offer, and we had such a great time.

The apartment was clean and very quiet, and it was easy to reach and within a short driving distance of anything in St. Louis. The neighborhood is mostly residential with a few bars, and within walking distance of the apartment there were an excellent coffee shop, a Mexican restaurant, and a dog-friendly bar! The year-round Soulard farmer's market is also only a few minutes away. Diem was very responsive to all my messages and gave us clear instructions for checking in and checking out.

Home away from home
I’m a travel nurse that stayed at Diems property for three months during an assignment. Diem was an exceptional host! She was extremely accommodating and responsive. I had an issue during a pretty cold ice storm that resulted in a pipe bursting in the night. Diem got me moved into one of her other properties and got the issue resolved very quickly! The property was clean, in a great location that can get a bit noisy at night but nothing too bad that hindered my sleep. In a great location with restaurants and bars within walking distance. I felt safe in the area. 5/5 stay.

So comfortable!
Excellent location, cute neighborhood with lots of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, etc. The most comfortable bed in the world and lots of amenities. I was worried we wouldn’t find a close parking spot on the street but that wasn’t an issue at all. The ceiling in the downstairs basement was described as “only 80 inches high”, but my husband is 6’7” and had no trouble walking around downstairs at all. Overall, an extremely comfortable place to stay and we hope to come back soon.

Perfect little loft in the perfect part of town
This is the neatest little loft in a nice area. At the end of the building there is a little restaurant with fantastic food. This loft is close to a lot of attractions. The bed is super cozy and we loved the linens! The towels are super fluffy and smell amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. It was also very clean and quiet. We will DEFINITELY book this unit again!

Perfect location!
Staying here could not have been more perfect of a location. So close to many awesome parts of St. Louis and activities. Place was well stocked and host is so kind, responsive, and pleasant. Great bars and restaurants within walking distance and short drive to stadium, Anheuser-Busch brewery, the zoo and so much more. Highly recommend!
