My stay was from 3rd to 7th april, they never cleaned up my room .. There was a smell in the bathroom.. i had a room with a view of building side.. very noisy in the nights and mornings.. The indoorpool was about 5min walk away from the hotel and always crowded.. In couldnt find the reception number, for any urgency.. There was a fire alarm in the midnight.. The only thing which was nice, the people in the Spa , and it was very relaxing.. I ordered a taxi to the airport, he was so fast and his driving was terrible!!!

Great spot

We where only there for a weekend but would dif go back.Appartments very large which was great.Some lovely restaurants very close to hotel.

A trip to Malta with my elderly mother. I have stayed here before earlier in the year. Both stays were comfortable. The pool area during the summer stay felt crowded and understaffed with overflowing bins and customers with uncleared tables at the poolside. The second stay end of October was quieter and cleaner, however the poolside cafe was closed. The rooms on both occasions were very clean and comfortable. All staff in the hotel area were very helpful, friendly and polite.

Some disappontments about the facilities at Sunny

- Our room was for three persons. One of us had to sleep on the broken sofabed. Finally I slept on a mattress on the floor! - showerdoor fell down and was broken - I never got a decent cover/blanket in to my bed, even I asked it twice - poolarea were small and the hot tubs were not working at all. And also the restaurants/bars in the poolarea were already closed in October. + the personell was friendly and quite helpfull + cleaning was ok and se got clean towels every day

Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff

Pros: Friendly helpful staff & good facilities. Especially helpful staff member Nora at entrance to Spa complex.
Cons: Fix the door on the female changing room in the Spa & increase the temperature. Stop burning joss sticks there causes breathing problems.
Location: Lots of eateries and good views.
The Sunny Coast is an excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they even merged our two separate, consecutive bookings into one, so that we could stay in the same apartment.

Very impressed

We were put in a room next to the lift, which drove us mad within a couple of hours. We asked to be moved and a room was found the next morning which was perfectly quiet. Staff very polite, the whole place was spotless, and the use of the gym and pool a bonus. Didn't eat in the restaurant, which is a franchise, so can't comment. Bus stop outside to get to Valetta, and take a walk into buggiba, restaurants are cheaper. All in all, we wanted a rest and that's exactly what we got.

Not Very Good

We had upgraded when booking to a seaview room, so was disappointed to be given a standard room, the receptionist was adamant this was all the booking had said and not having any proof as we had booked on the internet and had clicked on a different room choice when booking and paid extra we then had to pay another 10Euros a night for a sea view room, which they would otherwise leave empty. The room was cold, room 503, there was no heating, one bed was really squeaky. The fridge we had to turn off at night as it was so noisy, and on the last morning we had a cold shower as there was no hot water. The food in the restaurant is very basic and the service shambolic. To get anywhere on the bus is at least an hour away.
