What a great hidden gem! A wonderful option for locals that want to have a stay-cation and enjoy downtown St. Petersburg. You also get to use the amenities of The Hollander - which is very convenient. We look forward to staying there again!

Stayed at the Avalon for one night to go to a concert at the theatre. Super clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere for adults. Sister hotel next door with two great bars, restaurant, and little bakery. Shuttle service provided for free anywhere within 20 minutes. 5-7 happy hour wine and champagne. Definitely would go back.

This place has a fun retro (but modernized) old-Florida, art deco vibe. The suite we stayed in was newly renovated and spotless. The sister hotel has a great classic decor. I will absolutely consider staying at this hotel the next time I'm in town.

We reserved one of the apartment suites knowing that we were going to have a long day & night visiting with friends and family on the west coast. All was fine up until the morning. Because we were out late the previous night, we were planning on sleeping in before checking out at noon. Unfortunately, we were abruptly awakened at 8:00 AM by the sound of furniture moving around above us. About every 30 minutes thereafter there was the loud sound of ripping, hammering and sawing. It appeared as if someone was replacing the floor above us, because it felt like they were going to drop in from the ceiling. When we eventually got out of bed I killed a roach that was crawling across the floor. Perhaps it was stirred up by all of the commotion. The construction continued up until we checked out at 11:30 AM. We mentioned it to the front desk, but the lady there was oblivious to any work being done at the hotel. I understand that this may be an isolated incident. Nevertheless, you would think the establishment would have the common courtesy to wait until their guests check out before doing construction work in the room above them.

I love the cozy rooms and the modern atmosphere. Everything is so nice and clean. Also appreciate the complementary water and champagne. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here every time I am in St Pete!

We overall enjoyed staying here, however, the parking is too scarce which was quite stressful. The room was nice, but the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.. We were put in a room right at the bottom of the stairs so it was pretty loud throughout the day and night. The hotel is a convenient distance to downtown to be able to walk to some nice restaurants. Lastly, the customer service was great checking in and out.
