Rooms are a little dated but spacious, warm and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was great with a barrier controlled car park behind the hotel.

We had a good stay although we were at wedding most of the time Mitchell at the front desk greeted us , was very welcoming and very polite , very good customer service by him .

Close location to the centre of town. Great close to the centre and nice places to eat. Staff great, rooms are very tired though and not good value for money

Staff are A1, the lady who checked us in and served behind the bar was very friendly as was the chef. Our food was lovely, the best cooked steak I've had for a long time

The room was tired and looked very worn, the bathroom had obviously been cleaned but was very marked and mucky looking. Carpets were very stained and mucky too. Comfy bed, good location as its central and surprisingly quiet (mid-week stay).

Food for evening meal and breakfast awful. Shower slow to drain away-paddling in water. Noisy -morning and night.Woken up by music and loud talking by staff at 8am. Poor cleanliness in dining area -a lot of milk was spilt on table and although asked if could clean -left there while tried to eat tasteless cooked breakfast

It's a gorgeous old (14th C?) building. The staff were great and we enjoyed the food. Would stay there again.
