Definitely an older hotel. Homeless is prominent around property & obviously a place where people “live in”. There were other guests at the desk when I checked in complaining about finding drugs in their room & about their heater. The attendant promptly followed them to their room & asked if I minded waiting so he could address their issues. (I waited & appreciated his need to assist them) We were just there for 1 night. It was a convenient location to get to the train station to meet up with family the next morning & it served its purpose.

There are no valid complaints. The customer service was polite and efficient. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. Being an older hotel, it didn’t have many amenities, but we didn’t need anything extra. The location great and the free parking was plentiful. The continental breakfast was mediocre, but not a dealbreaker. I’d definitely stay again.

For what it has to offer, like anywhere you stay while you're away from home. I was comfortable, it was clean n I had more movies on my tv than the more pricey hotels. Is it dated yes, but I had no problem with my stay of 9 days and I will come back again

Review of Amsterdam hotel in wealthy Stamford: the elevator buttons are broken (you even have to push up to go down), it smelled strongly of mildew in the hallways and in my room, there were stains and hair on the carpeting, no ventilation in the bathroom, and the room phone was broken and didn’t work. Dust and debris. Everything is a little crimey and worn. Super sketchy few blocks right around the hotel that you need to walk through to get to town. The one bright spot was I was able to get a refund of two of the three nights after I checked out the first night.

If you stay here -check the room before you commit
Hotel needs updates - the room was horrible - no fitted sheet on the bed - tacks were coming out of the carpet- the wall was peeling. Patricia was nice enough to move me to a better room, but they should update the one I was in before putting someone else in there. Ratings for this hotel are better than what I experienced.
