Storm Meadows B413, brought to you by Mountain Vacation Lodging, just underwent a massive remodel in the fall of 2022. It is a penthouse level, true ski in/out condo, with panoramic ski slope views from all rooms. Guests will enjoy everything this newly remodeled unit has to offer, from upscale kitchen appliances, to brand new beds/bedding, fresh carpet, ceiling fans, a dedicated office space, new HD SmartTV's and a versatile bedding set up. The Storm Meadows Club complex has a heated pool open in winter and summer, an extra large hot tub, locker rooms with saunas and showers, a full fitness center, and a tennis court with stunning mountain views. If guests don't want to use the ski in/out access, there is a dedicated winter shuttle to take guests to and from the Gondola Transit Center during the day. From there guests can either quickly walk to Ski Time Square/Gondola Square or they can hop on the free Steamboat Springs Transit to take them most places in Steamboat.

Location:
-- Lifts: Ski in/ski out on the beginner level Right O Way trail, which runs from the Thunderhead Express lift straight down to the Gondola. This is a main artery for the ski area and it is groomed nightly. The development has a ski in access trail that veers off the Right O Way trail about 100-200 yards uphill from the building, which means that your ski in access coming home is almost flat, and easy enough for beginners. The ski out is gentle enough for a snow plow wedge technique, and easy enough to walk down if you prefer.
-- Town: The unit is about 4 miles from downtown Steamboat Springs. The base area is a walk away if you feel comfortable walking on the snow of a green run.
– Shuttle: The development has a free daytime private shuttle (ski season only) that will take you to and from the Gondola Transit Center. From the Gondola Transit Center guests can catch a free bus to almost anywhere in Steamboat. Reach out to our agents for more details.
-- Views: Incredible views, from all rooms, of the ski area to the east and southeast as well as southern views across the Yampa Valley all the way to the Flat tops Wilderness area. This unit offers a prime viewing spot for fireworks displays that are launched from the top of the ski trails right out your window.

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
– Accessing the Property – Accessing this property does not require any stairs. Just walk right into the building, take the elevator up, and walk inside. The condo is laid out on one level and there are no stairs at the ski in ski out access either. The only place you might need to go up stairs is in the clubhouse, from the lower level of the locker rooms up to the fitness center and tennis court. Everything else at the amenity center is on one level. Private heated ski storage is located on the ground level.
– Parking – Parking is an outdoor lot. Spaces are not assigned and available free for owners and guests. Parking permit(s) are provided in the condo. Trailers are not allowed per HOA rules. If you will have one, please contact us to discuss off site options for overnight parking.
– 4WD vehicle information – 4WD/AWD or vehicles with chains may be required to access this property when traveling during snow and winter weather conditions

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Great location, a couple watch outs.
We really enjoyed our stay in Steamboat Springs! The location is great with a beautiful view of the mountain. The rooms were great and we had all the items we needed for a comfortable stay. The condo is managed by a 3rd party (which is fine, many rentals are) but this one felt especially removed from the listing and very corporate. The amount of times we were asked to refer to the house book vs. them just answering a simple question for us was really disappointing. And if something wasn't in the house book it took them quite a long time to get a response back to us (e.g. gym hours - see below). A few things that were not fully represented in the listing: - Laundry is not in the unit, it's on another floor and has to be paid for. - The gym is in another building and only accessible after 9am in the morning. This was completely inconvenient for us and the info on location and hours was not available until we specifically asked for it (and even then they gave us the wrong hours).

Fantastic view
This unit was great. The kitchen was well stocked. We needed nothing. The top floor made our stay the best we have had. Very quiet, lots of fresh linens and close to the ski slope. Beautiful view of the mountain and close to downtown. My husband and I ventured to Steamboat Lake and enjoyed the beauty. Love Steamboat Springs in the summer and winter. Woulds definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your lovely condo.

We've encountered rentals that boasts ski-in/ski-out and some are not exactly that. This unit is TRULY one. Amazing slopeside views of the gondola, trails and skiers from all rooms. House is clean and comfortable. Ease of communication w/ prop manager. Minor inconveniences - toaster not popping up, loud beeping which turned out to be a smoke alarm that needs to be replaced, 2 beds were made instead of the 3 singles we asked for; easily solvable issues. So overall, everyone had lots fun and happy about this gem right on the slopes. thank you

Property was very nice and well appointed. There was a guest book that described the amenities and how to use them. It was extremely easy to ski out to the lifts in the morning. The way home in the afternoon was pretty easy, but required some amount of pushing with ski poles. Probably much harder on a snowboard. The only thing that did not work out is there is NO SHUTTLE after 4:30pm. This unit does not participate in the private shuttle despite them saying so in the literature. I confirmed with both the shuttle service and the management company. Not a big deal if you know that up front. Ubers are expensive and Lyfts are generally unavailable.

We loved it!
Everything is exactly pictured. Ski in and ski out was easy for everyone (even beginning skiers). We saw a moose! The place was very clean and the check in was so easy. We went at the perfect time for skiing. It was not too busy and the fresh snow was amazing. We even ran out of firewood and the owner had some delivered fast! We will book here again for sure! Thank you so much!

Transportation needs
The condo was perfect for us! The views were even better. The ski in ski out access was easily done by my 2 beginner skiers. The only bit of a downside was we should have rented a car. I loved the fact that the condo was away from the resort a bit, but it was hard to go out to eat after 5:00. The shuttle that would come every 20 minutes ended at 5:00. Then you need to get a ride back. Uber/Lyft drivers are scarce. Next time we come we will definitely rent a car.

Great location and condo complex
The unit is a bit dated but otherwise has everything we needed (particularly in the kitchen). It is located in Storm Meadows Club B on the 4th floor next to the elevator. Beautiful views of the ski mountain and easy access to the slopes. We have stayed in several other units in Storm Meadows and all have been excellent. Highly recommend.

Great Location and View, but Needs Updating
This is a great location. However, the condo needs updating. The light in the family room still turns on and off on its own (as the previous review from 2018 stated). My husband fixed a screen door that was broken. The kitchen has just the bare necessities but we had to run the dishwasher often to have enough cups. Also, if you go this summer, know that you need to bring your own towels to the pool, and you must make pool reservations in advance (both due to Covid, but we didn't know either before our stay).

Pleasant stay, condo needs some love
The views of the mountain are wonderful. The management company was super helpful. We unfortunately locked ourselves out right away b/c of the key situation. Just have not stayed in a vacation home with actual keys for quite a few years. Managment team got us back in quite quickly, so we appreciated that. This place needs some attention...little things, like neither bedside table lamps worked in the main bedroom (not bad bulbs), the same bedroom's ceiling fan sounds like a small jet engine. There are 2 grills on the balcony that we were so iffy, we didn't feel safe even trying. Wallpaper in one bathroom about to come down. Lights in livingroom randomly going off & on. We got a decent rate since it was a summer stay. I'd be upset if I'd paid premium for this during ski season. 3.5 stars would be a better rating.

Wall paper falling off wall in one bathroom and taped with clear adhesive tape in one section; Small leak in the roof; Lights mysteriously turn off and on in living area: Some kitchen cabinet doors did not remain closed; also received directions to two different properties, in advance, by email from VRBO and had to call property manager to clarify. Rather disappointed in VRBO coordination and communication as well but this review is only about the unit. On the plus side it had good ski in/out location; the unit was clean; convenient and warm ski lockers and a recently remodeled club house with pool, lockers, sauna and hot tub. Shuttle service to/from Gondola Square was good.
