Kenny's Place

Yksi henkilö on vaikuttanut minun ja Suzyn rakkauteen Pohjois-Georgian vuoristossa, kiitetyllä Toccoa-joella ja kalastuksella Toccoa-joella. Se oli elinikäinen ystäväni Kenny! Kenny ja minä puhuimme usein unelmastamme. Halusimme rakentaa ja jakaa mökki joelle Pohjois-Georgian vuoristossa! Joten valitsimme kauniin kappaleen maasta ja innostuneen rakennuksen kanssa aloimme suunnitella. Emme tuskin voineet odottaa murtautumista unelmamökillämme. Sitten tragedia iski! Kennyllä todettiin aggressiivinen ALS syksyllä 2017. Joten, suunnitelmien muutos! Haluamme tehdä matkustamon pyörätuolin saavutettavissa. Ainakin Kenny voisi vierittää kannelta ja katsella minua kalasta, vaikka hän ei pystyisi kalastamaan itse! Valitettavasti Kenny kuoli huhtikuussa 2018. Hän ei elänyt nähdäksemme unelmamme toteutuvan, mutta Suzy ja minä jatkoimme minun ja Kennyn unelmaa mökistä Pohjois-Georgian vuorilla Kennyn nimessä. Siksi kutsumme sitä ”Kenny's Place”. Prosentti tuloista Kenny's Place -sivustolta menee tutkimukselle, hoidolle ja parannukselle ALS: lle ja The ALS Associationille www. als. Org!

Sinun on otettava yhteyttä lisätäksesi useamman kuin yhden koiran varaukseen, jos se sallitaan. 20 dollaria per koira, per yö. Jos lemmikkieläimet sallitaan, ensimmäisen koiran hinta sisältyy lueteltuihin kokonaiskustannuksiin.

Vahinkovakuutus kattaa sinulta jopa 2000 dollarin vahingot kiinteistölle tai sen sisällölle (kuten huonekalut, kalusteet ja laitteet) vahingossa, kunhan ilmoitat tapahtumasta isännälle ennen lähtöä. Vahinkovakuutusmaksu eliminoi perinteisen vakuuden tarpeen.

Tämä mökki sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Chattahoochee National Forest. Majoituspaikassa on saatavilla poreallas ja pelihalli/-huone. Mökissä tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön esimerkiksi keittiön ja 3 kylpyhuonetta.

Overall great cabin
Beautiful cabin in beautiful location. It’s around a 30 min drive to Blue Ridge. Overall it was VERY clean but we did have a couple of things that could have been better. The main bedroom rug smelled strongly of dog when we arrived. Also, some of the blankets and throws were covered in dog hair. We have a few with allergies so we had to wash bedding the first day. The kitchen, bathrooms, etc, were all very clean though. I think these were probably just missed. We used febreeze for the smell but the rugs really need to be cleaned/replaced. The hot tub is older and kept flipping the breaker so we didn’t get to use it as much as we would have liked. Over all for a family with dogs, this would be a great place to stay. The river is beautiful and there are tons of amenities right on the property. The kitchen was very well stocked. Our GPS actually brought us to it just fine but we did follow the directions given just in case.

Enjoyed our stay and were grateful that the property allowed pets, as we had one in tow, however the cleanliness of the cabin could have been better. Upon arriving there was a strong stench of pee in one of the bedrooms upstairs - we closed that room off for the duration of our stay and avoided that room completely. The pet hair was excessive - stuck to all rugs, sofas, throw blankets, and beds. The hair even started to form tumbleweeds throughout the home.

The river is so close and beautiful. Bring food for cooking because you’re not close to many restaurants or stores. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of gathering room for your family.

Fantastic get away! Plenty of river front to tube with the kids! Lots of space, games/play area, property with fire pit and seating! Bring firewood and extra bug spray! Even though the bugs didn’t really bite, the spray kept them out of our mouths! Would definitely return! Felt very honored to be able to spend time at this beautiful oasis!

Wonderful Cabin
Kenny’s Place is a beautiful cabin. Our family really enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed and the River and yard are wonderful. The only negative thing I would say is that the cooking pans need to be replaced and the ceiling fans cleaned. Other than that it was perfect.

Fun Getaway
8 of us (plus a 1 year old) stayed at Kenny's Place and had a fun weekend. Kenny's Place was wonderful! Plenty of space. Out in the country so weren't disturbed by traffic or a lot of noise. Plus, it was absolutely beautiful to have the Toccoa River just out the back door! There is so much to do right there on the property. The only down side was how cold it was when we went. We didn't get to enjoy all the outdoor amenities like the fire pit, hanging out on the beautiful decks, and fun in the river. The group is already talking about reserving Kenny's Place again next year, but maybe in late summer, early fall when it will be warmer. We loved it! Highly recommend.

Very relaxing. The creek in the back is beautiful. Perfect timing with the colors. 15 miles over the mountain you can be in Blue Ridge. The other direction beautiful mountain scenery. The Cabin very spacious, it is right off Hwy 60. Will inside couldn’t hear the cars. Great family place.

Great Stay.
Great river location. House was clean and spacious. Had great living space for everyone, game room down stairs, hot tub outside. It is right off a highway, you couldn't here road noise inside but sitting outside by the river it was pretty loud, good thing the road isn't to busy. If you are looking to get away from everything this is the place, closest town is about 30 minutes away. It was a nice central location to both Blue Ridge and Dahlonega.

40th. Birthday Celebration
We absolutely loved the cabin!! right on the river, could get in anytime we wanted and were also able to float down to the deep hole campground and do this as many times as we wanted! It was about a two hour float and the swimming waterfalls near the area were amazing, all the amenities were perfect we will definitely come back!! thanks again for a wonderful time at Kenny’s place!

It was ok but it can be improved
I loved loved the location plus how clean the cabin was, although, 2 things might be good to update. 1. Have access to the canoes since there is a nice and inviting little river behind the cabin. 2. Since pets are allowed in which it's good because I have a Chitzu, not have rugs in the cabin to keep the cabin smelling clean. I would rent it again but if next time the cabin has canoes plus no rugs. Love the place ❤️
