Our “South Surrey Spring Vacation”

Lovely one acre property with sport court. However, we reserved for nine people it only had dining room chairs for 6, so the maintenance person had to purchase 3 card table chairs. The walls were moldy due to leaks. Had gas leaks from the stove, instant hot water heater and the furnace , With most of the windows open with cold air coming in (to keep from gas poisoning) we could at least keep the furnace on. Since the gas man shut down the hot water heater that was leaking burnt gas and carbon monoxide, causing two to have migraines, we therefore had no dishwasher or bathing in the main house and no hot water in any sink. Luckily there was an adjacent part of the home which was thankfully opened up for us, so we could bathe and cook, albeit 75 feet away on the second floor. That area was heated with a different heater that worked My wife spent three days dealing with gas company and plumbers. The maintenance person was concerned about our safety, so after we called the gas company in, he called in repair people, but unfortunately no repairs could be performed in time to help us. There was no dinette table in the empty breakfast nook. The gas man found a dead mouse under the stove top that he turned off for that leak. There were no small glasses, only five cups, a few bowls no salad plates, but at least there were 8 dinner plates. The fourth bed was described as a futon, but it was actually a queen mattress on the floor in the study not made up,which we then moved upstairs
