A wide corner stairway at each end of the building leads from the ground level to the eight first floor units, and eight second floor units. There is also a centrally located stairway and elevator. (See building photos) The Osprey offers extra privacy and views, as (unlike interior units) it has exterior bay windows. It is the first corner unit as you drive onto the peninsula.
This welcoming property features comfortable high end furnishings, amenities including ceiling fans, washer/dryer, central heat and air, wifi, French doors opening to a balcony overlooking the back canal, dining room and master bedroom bay windows, roomy, fully equipped kitchen, and laundry room.
The master bedroom lets in sunlight through bay windows facing a back canal. A king bed with matching mission styled wooden headboard has a matching dresser and nightstand. The large master bathroom is entered through a hallway with roomy, mirrored closets on each side, before a large, beautifully appointed open bathroom with a large, tiled corner shower with glass door, mirrored twin vanities with large cabinets beneath, and ample closet space for towels and linens. The separate, lighted toilet offers privacy with pastel walls and a white painted wooden door.
The second bedroom fronts the wide main canal and the marina, with a large window facing the condo’s boarded walkway. A large double mirrored door closet provides room for clothing and extra bedding. The king bed has a matching dresser, nightstand, and chest.
The third bedroom is small, but cozy, big enough for two adults or children in the double bed, with a wall mounted high shelf. Which can be used to stash suitcases or incidentals, *or possibly as a small sleeping nook.
In the main living area, the high ceilinged living room lets in natural light with two, high, recessed windows; is furnished with a comfortable sofa with recliners on each end, two large end tables with drawers and lamps, matching coffee table, TV, cabinet, and side chairs.
The dining area brings light and a view through bay windows, facing the boat basin. A bar separating dining from kitchen has three tall, comfortable barstools.
The kitchen is clean, bright, well equipped with dishwasher, garbage disposal, electric range/oven, side by side refrigerator/freezer, pantry/closet, dishes, utensils, cookware.
A laundry room houses water heater, stacked washer and dryer, shelving, and room for coolers, etc.
Take advantage of Suwannee Cove’s free private boat launching ramp, trailer and vehicle parking under the condo, or in an overflow parking area; private fish cleaning station, and beautiful fenced-in swimming pool, with deck chairs, shower, bathrooms. Floating docks surround the peninsula, with (private) reserved spaces for residents, as well as open for visitors/renters boat docking access.
Adjacent to the boat ramp is a well stocked marina, with ice, small food items, snacks, bait, tackle, souvenirs, gas pumps for vehicle and boat, kayak or canoe rentals. Suwannee is a golf cart community. Bring your golf cart or bicycles, or ATV to explore the miles of natural surroundings.
While Suwannee has no direct beachfront, a short boat ride takes you to pristine sand and clear waters; not to mention the beautiful, historic Suwannee River gives access to beautiful, deep creeks along its length, and protects many deep, cerulean blue springs, cold and inviting on even the hottest summer day! The Suwannee River and Gulf offer a multitude of fishing opportunities, as well as water skiing or tubing for the adventurous. One can also walk and fish from the docks of Suwannee Cove. If you’re lucky you may spy gators or manatees!
Beautiful blue Pelicans can be seen resting in trees and on condo roofs, as well as paddling around in the canals. Ospreys and bald eagles nest in tall treetops.
Suwannee is home to a favorite of locals and visitors, Salt Creek Restaurant, with a varied menu of succulent seafood, steaks, burgers, pizza, and more. A short drive, via boat or car, gives access to excellence in freshly prepared meals at locally renowned restaurants and cafes; while a drive of 24 miles on the only paved road to and from Suwannee, Highway 349, takes you to the community of Old Town, with a large grocery store and fast food restaurants.
