The remoteness is not in anyway a comment on the great hospitality experienced front the entire Mercure staff. This was my home away from home for almost 4weeks and I greatly enjoyed my stay. The room was a key reason for selecting; the hotel over a closer I is offering; very spacious with a huge wardrobe, big bathroom and walk in shower. The room also had a sink, cups (only recommendation is to include washing liquid) kettle, cutlery and a microwave, (however inline with the notices, probably not a good idea to use the. Microwave unless truly desperate) . The remoteness I referred to has a knock on impact that it's a long way to the nearest station plus you will need to factor in travel costs to and from the hotel. If you don't mi do the occasional walk like myself it's a nice 35 minute stroll in good sunshine. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my Mercure Hotel experience.

Breakfast was a bit poor besides having to wait for plates as there was none available and same with milk for the coffee machine. Maybe a second machine or bigger machine is needed for the coffee and more staff serving breakfast

Nice room, room service was available and friendly staff. Check-out is annoying as it is a self-checkout screen in foyer. I was double charged for a room service item and didn't realise until I got home. I'm still waiting after 2 weeks to be reimbursed... be careful to check the details before paying at the check-out!

Toilet paper holder fell off the wall. Towel holder due to fall off wall soon. Nespresso machine but no pods. Noisy aircon grill through the night - expanding/contracting loud. Noisy weird water gurgle through the night - loud. Towel still had makeup or whatever on it but it did smell like a clean towel. grubby paintwork. Shower head way too low. And all this in a 'superior' room.

3 night stay Convenient for visiting family nearby. Had everything we needed but prefer milk in larger containers rather than the little pods. The filtered water and tiny donut snacks were a nice touch. Clean and comfy bed.

I booked just one night stay, traveling from The city near the airport to Visit friends old friend while I was in town from another country. The staff was very friendly & helpful upon check-in. It wasn’t long before I noticed how loud a group staying at the hotel was talking to each other and even on their phones as I sat and waited for my room to be cleaned. I could hear people talking and laughing in the hallways at night when I was trying to sleep. Sounded like they were in my room, like there was no insulation in the walls to buffer the sound? Then after I finally got to sleep( with the help of ear plugs) my “King Bed” (that was made from 2 twin size beds) abruptly separated into 2 separate beds and I suddenly found myself wedged in a “V” between the two as one had shifted significantly apart from the other. This occurred at 12:25 AM. The beds had in no way been connected into one as too keep this from happening as is common practice when converting 2 beds into one. I had an issue but was eventually able to get out of the collapsed bed. I reassembled the bed and wedged it against the wall with a nightstand in hopes it wouldn’t happen again. Needless to say I had anything but a restful night sleep. I told about my incident with the bed to the clerk as I checked out. He had me “Air-Drop” a picture of the bed I had taken. He offered me a coffee or soft drink for my trouble? Lol, I politely declined as I had a ride picking me up shortly.
