We arrived to check in around 18.30. Checked in ok only to be told our room was under inspection! Finally get to the room, AC unit has no front grill, curtains are hanging off the rail, net curtain was filthy and the plug socket was hanging off the wall. A maintenance man proceeds to enter our room, shocked to find someone in there. Makes some excuse about checking the bathroom then leaves. We asked to be moved and were told there would be rooms the next day, and will be on 43rd floor. Back to reception in the morning, sorry no rooms come tomorrow. Back to reception next morning with all our luggage , yes there is a room on 43rd floor, not ready yet but come back later. Get back at 15.30. sorry 43rd floor is gone so ended up on 24th. Room was ok, smaller, towel rail hanging off but by this time we can't be bothered! To be fair to the staff they did try but overall for the money we paid bitterly disappointed, it felt as if we were dumped in the only room available that no one else wanted. We booked this months in advance and a room should have been allocated not something makeshift. Needless to say we will not stay at a Meriton again.

Bland, characterless place, rigidly run

Pros: Leaving.
Cons: replace the Management, the style of having guests to welcome and not just part of a cash cow for the owners, Be taken over by a more character orient
Location: Central but dirty streets, much noise flows upwards as it is right above the main Tram link works,
Central, but ageing apartments with bland decor and furnishings, meant not to be moved. No homely or welcoming feel, quite sterile, rather cold staff, A Book for your responsibilities and behaviour, with plenty they do not fulfill. Being on the 42nd floor is little use having a large balcony, lashing with rain and howling winds all around, depending i suppose on which sides of the building you stay. the view is just of a very crowded city, overpopulated, dense, and a total lack of privacy in buildings overlooking each other. Sydney has worsened year after year for this overbuilding, and not enough ground space for people living above to walk and use. rather dirty Streets around and engineering Can take 20 minutes for an elevator with their key system allocation for lift A-E. use anything and it is rigidly put back where the Housekeeping plan is each day, they knock and just walk into your apartment without waiting also. They will start to call you at 10.10am to check out, then start knocking on your door after 20 minutes. Rude and hardly for the guests benefit, or a welcoming friendly attitude. Need modernising and upgrading, but they will not create anything welcoming or friendly run as they do. Tolerable for a few nights, certainly not for longer stay with no character, and not anything memorable. I would not stay or use the group again, though World Tower was more flexible and accommodating for a 2 week stay (previously reviewed), but one of the highest prices in Sydney.

Lage war super. Nur mit dem Fahrstuhl kann sehr schief gehen. Es gibt nur 5 Fahrstühle für das ganze Gebäude und manchmal muss man mindestens 10 Minuten warten...
