Modern, spacious rooms. Excellent location to transport and Darling Harbour, thats why I chose to stay again. Staff were less attentive and welcoming this visit. But we all have good days / bad days.

Staff need training on communicating and professionalism, they tried to charge me twice and insisted I didn’t pay, shower was dirty, car park is tiny and inconvenient to get in and out of, have to go into a lift. Could hear every single sound outside of my room, terrible insulation. Very low standard for Meriton.

Our stay was ok, the pool was unavailable, one of the reasons we had chosen this location, no discount was offered on our $3000 stay! Our room was not clean, there was hair and dirt clumped in corners and along the baseboards and previous guest hair in the shower. Just after departure I realized my earbuds were missing and I know exactly where they were in the primary bedroom. I asked staff to retrieve them for me as they are $400. Not a single response to my request. Not impressed at all. We should have been compensated something for this.

Every thing about the Merton was great. Comfy and everything we needed for a 4 night stay in the city. Only complaint was not finding/knowing pool was there on the 4 th floor and the cleaning late afternoon when we were there but didn’t switch/refill laundry soaps (so nice) or towels. Great stay!

Property looks tired. Room cleaning wasn't thorough. We stayed for 5 nights but only cleaned once. The good experience was we asked for towels and slippers and they were delivered quickly. Shampoo shower gel etc should be checked and replaced daily but it's only done on request.

We tried to check in at 2:40pm without realising the check-in time was 3pm. We were told to come back so we did, but it still wasn’t quite ready at 3:20pm. We did manage to get in soon after, but for a 10am check-out I would have expected a 2pm check-in. The girl serving us was very unfriendly compared with her colleagues, despite us not showing any disappointment in our room not being ready. These were our only real issues. The rest of the staff were helpful, especially the older guy who took care of our bags when we checked out. The room was quite nice and comfortable but the view was awful. Well located for Darling Harbour. Parking is much cheaper if you just book the Wilson parking across the road (Darling Park). We didn’t notice any super close cafes etc but everything is generally in walking distance.
