The reception lounge is a convenient central place to meet with others or wait to be collected for your tour, well equipped with bar, inside/outside areas and the most amazing view of the Sydney harbor. Our rooms were lovely with a great view over the Australian animals area, we had a koala outside the window and an echidna walking around in view outside. Well equipped rooms with quality features and fixtures. Staff were amazing.

Best place ever to stay!! The wildlife preserve was amazing and when staying there you got to go to animal feedings and tour at night with a guide using a red light that doesn’t hurt the animals eyes. Food there was wonderful. You could walk through the zoo to get a ferry to Sydney. Best views of Sydney from the zoo. 5 stars all around!

Great family overnight stay
This was an amazing experience from start to finish. The room was comfortable and we had a sanctuary view, we woke up to a koala in the tree outside our window! The lounge area had gorgeous views of the harbor and opera house and the direct access to the zoo was a huge bonus. We opted for a night tour which I highly recommend as some of the animals are more active at night. Overall this was an unforgettable experience and we'd highly recommend.

Beautiful Retreat in the Taronga Zoo
This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed at, and i travel a lot. It's just beautiful, everyone friendly & helpful, so modern & comfortable. It is inside the Taronga zoo & non profit so it supports the zoo animals. AND there is a koala sleeping right outside my window!!!

My daughters and I loved our stay at Wildlife Retreat. We really enjoyed the Sanctuary and morning tour that were included in our stay. Our favourite part of the stay was the after-hours Night Safari tour! It was worth the extra $25pp! Loved the buffet breakfast and dinner at Me-Gal too! Thank you, Taronga Zoo team for making our stay memorable! :)
