This hotel is all we expected and more. It is a clean, basic room. There is a mall across the street with lots of food options and shops, so was very convenient. They also have a free shuttle to go to certain places. The hotel restaurant could be better. It was rather expensive for Taiwan. We had dinner there the first night as it was raining hard and we were not yet oriented to our surroundings. We had to purchase an entree which comes with the buffet which was way too much food. Allowing guests to purchase just the buffet would have been better. Coffee is free to guests but for some reason, we didn’t know until days later. It was probably because my understanding of mandarin is limited and the English speaking hostess was busy.

Nice hotel and staff. Spacious room. Laundry machine is available and it’s free. Dryer is a plus, clothes are very dry afterward. I’ve been to several hotels previously where the clothes are still wet after putting it in the dryer for multiple times. There’s a mall right across street from the hotel. You can access the mall by crossing the sky bridge on 3rd floor. The metro station is right under the mall, so it’s very convenient.

Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful stay! The room was bright, clean and new, the view spectacular. The hotel is very well located, attached to Songshan Station and a big mall, and a few minutes walk from Raohe night market. There's also a convenience store on the corner across from the entrance. There's a laundry room with free washers and dryers, and even though there are only three of each, we never had trouble getting oqqne. The only cons I can think of are the lack of privacy to get changed in the shower ante- room, and the lack of a microwave oven.

Is it possible for a hotel to exceed your expectations? Wel Amba Taipei SongShan does that! It is a very cool hotel. Located right next to ShongShan station.. you can walk over the skybridge to the hotel. One thing the lobby is on the 17th floor which isn't immediately obvious. But a quick chat to security on the ground floor had us quickly at check-in. Views of Taipei 101 are very nice and breakfast buffet is perfect. Will stay again!
