The hotel was about a 7-minute walk from the train station, 10 minutes from the center of town, and right next to a beautiful park. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were spacious and clean. I also had a beautiful view of the sunsets. Breakfast was very good as well, although I had to pay an additional fee for it. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Tampere.

Courtyard by Marriott - Just great!
Courtyard by Marriott in Tampere does not disappoint. The reception staff are absolute top class as are the breakfast staff. Location-wise, its only 10 minutes from the train station and 15 from the city centre. If a decent view is important, you'll want to stay above the 7th floor. Should you want to visit the Mum in museum and shop, the hotel is connected to the Tampere talo (Tampere Hall) with an indoor passage, which is handy should it rain or be cold outside. In the winter when icy, it's a bit tricky to pull heavier bags up the slight slope leading to the hotel but in the summer - no problem. On the way to the hotel from the trainstation, you even get to walk on the street with all of Finland's most famous past and present artists names and "stars" on the street. It's not exactly Hollywood's walk of fame or Leicester Squares famous hand prints, but it's a quick and easy way to pick up a few well known names and ask locals about them - always an interesting and neutral topic for opening a conversation with Finn ;-)

It is a very nice hotel, near a convention center, with very good restaurant for dinner and breakfast buffet. The room was very nice and we enjoyed our stay in Tampere. Visit the Lenin Museum for some interesting history.

Very pleasant stay and location, quiet and clean room, good bed. Only one big blanket was a suprise for us in double bed, but it was ok. Two blankets would be better though. The breakfast had good quality foods, that was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!

We were going to games at Nokia Arena. The hotel was a convenient walking distance to the Arena, yet was still also a convenient walking distance to cafes, restaurants, the train station, and other tourist areas.
