The staff and the food were very good and the hotel was very clean The downside was the bed and pillows which were very hard. They did change the pillows which was helpful.

Ideal hotel for a couple of nights
I stayed at the King Hotel for a couple of nights while my wife was at Benenden hospital for an operation. The hotel room was very clean and well appointed. Plenty of towels, shower gel, coffee & tea and biscuits for a two night stay. Really good shower in the en suite. Parking right by the room ( chalet type). Free wi fi as well. The Indian Restaurant ''The Raja of Kent'' is next door to the hotel and I went there for a meal on the first night. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent.
