Room was spacious, and AC worked really well. Location is good and close to downtown. Staff was kind and helpful. However, none of these matter since the room faced the parking lot and a hospital, and every day at 5:30am the garbage truck would ruin our sleep, leaving us exhausted for the day. Property should try to get to some kind of agreement with the city and hospital, or invest in really good soundproofing, else I can’t recommend this place unfortunately.

Lovely modern rooms, good variety of hot/cold food for the continental breakfast. Nice and quiet, a beautiful building. My only real issue was that the TV satellite system was pretty glitchy though. It would be fine on certain channels, but both nights when I tried to change it to - for example - CityTV Toronto, it would go blank and a bunch of the stations suddenly would lose satellite signal. Tried rebooting the unit and it got worse where no satellite signal at all was detected. The overnight/nighttime front desk employee was really helpful and tried to fix it but it still wouldn't work. In the end, it must have rebooted overnight and again, only certain channels worked. That being said, the room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the lake view was lovely!

What a beautiful, historic property! We stayed at the Courthouse for a couple of days while visiting Thunder Bay and loved it. Comfortable room. Beautiful view.

Nice to have a view of the lake. We did not. Staff supplied us w stuff we needed that was not in the room. The breakfast was good. You may laugh. But the sausages where the highlight. We really enjoyed our stay.

The serving/ housekeeping staff were very abrupt with us. There was leftover food in the breakfast room at 8 pm when we checked in, and a banquet hall had dirty dishes and food still there in the morning. Our room was very clean, spacious and had nice amenities.

Our room was not ready by check in time but I have to say our room was incredible! Even in the lower level! The hotel has not been renovated to its design potential in the lobby and the grounds and the acces/naming/availability of public areas. So much more could be done to make this an exceptional destination. That said. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet and we would stay again.
