Absolute Gem
Fantastic, friendly and accommodating. Originally chose this for location to break up a long family road trip. Lovely restaurant attached which served good wholesome German food. The staff were polite, helpful and very pleasant. Location and surrounding area is picturesque. Was awoken by the sound of Lambs in the fields nearby and Church Bells, nice experience. Rooms was quite simple but spotless and functional. Nice Buffet Breakfast. Wish we had time to stay longer and will definitely use for longer next time we travel this route.

Nice quiet location, close to Passau as long as you have transport. Nice room and friendly staff, just wish there was coffee in the room but that’s a tiny thing. Nice breakfast and easy check in and out. Looks to be biker friendly and in a good biking location too. Many thanks.

The location was great. The hotel needs to be upgraded. I think what I liked the most was the location and that a supermarket was cross the street from the hotel. No toiletries provided so please bring your toiletries especially if you arrive at night. The store closes by 8 pm.

Schöner Zwischenaufenthalt vor Flusskreuzfahrt
Vor unserer Flusskreuzfahrt mit Abfahrt in Engelhartszell wollten wir noch Passau erkunden. Dazu übernachteten wir zwei Nächte im Landgasthof Zum Kirchenwirt, der ca. 15 km entfernt vom Stadtzentrum Passaus liegt. Wir fanden ein ein großzügiges und sauberes Zimmer im 2. OG vor. Das inkludierte Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig. Abends kann man im Landgasthof sehr gut essen! Alles in allem können wir dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Great stay in a quiet place
The hotel is located right next to the church in the very quiet surroundings of Thyrnau. Very clean and basic accommodation in a well maintained building with character. Wifi worked well. Good breakfast and staff was very friendly. I arrived late afternoon, the keys were available in the agreed upon place for self check in. Local pizzeria close by. In non-COVID times, I am sure the beer garden below is fantastic to enjoy.
