Great place next to the Sumo arena, just be careful about the local train line as it is frequently full, even long after rush hour. The place is great and has a lot of foreigners, but that also means you will have to deal with some whose manners have not adjusted to Japanese standard. The only downside is the gym which is too small and needs water, cleaning and overall could use a small refresh. The rest is a solid APA experience with a grand sentou/grand bath in the basement which is a must for me. Would stay again.

Check-in checkout process is very well executed with machines. I was very impressed that machine was able to print the room card. The room is smaller than I expected but it has all I needed and very well designed. It even provides international power socket so I can use my Australian power plug. The onsen is awesome. It took a bit courage to feel comfortable being naked in women's public bath. But after I am used to it, it actually feels great. Breakfast buffet has lots of varieties. Staff there is very polite and helpful. I will definitely be back again. Thank you for making my first time in Japan experience so awesome.

Provides everything you could really need- fridge, fresh towels, yukata, TV, coin laundry downstairs. Room is small but cozy. Staff were friendly and accommodating- great location for Ryogoku station.

A Perfect Stay
This was a longer stay for my trip and everything about it was excellent. I booked a higher view room and it was worth it. While the room was small, it suited my needs as a solo traveler. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially when it was busy with guests and it made the stay much better. There is a train station a short walk away that I could see from my room and there was a convenience store in the hotel itself. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel simply based off the location and staff.

Overall, I liked it. But I didn’t like the fitness room. One of stationary bikes was broken, and there weren’t things to wipe equipment, and ventilation was not good and too hot for working out

Where do I begin. APA hotels are by far one of my favourite places to stay at. The accommodation: clean! The staff: cordial! It is very comfortable and the self check-in option is super easy to use. After my stay in an APA hotel in Osaka, I knew I had to stay in another. I will definitely stay at an APA hotel on my next visit to Japan!

Conveniently located near a JR train station as well between main Shinkansen access points of Tokyo and Ueno station. Easy to commute across Tokyo. The Hotel staff made the process easy to forward our luggage to the next destination seamlessly. They walked us through filling the necessary paperwork and even called the next establishment to confirm they can accept our luggage. The language barrier was not too big of an issue as staff knew some English
