Good location in Ueno with a subway stop directly outside of the hotel, you’re also really close to Akihabara. The staff at the front desk were nice & were helpful with booking a taxi to the Airport for us. My room large but was carpeted which I thought was weird since it’s probably hard to clean. I had a king bed which was nice. I liked how the toilet & shower are in separate rooms; the shower room is also pretty big. The included hair dryer is terrible though. The elevators in the building are slow & there were only 2 washers & dryers for the whole building with 1 of the dryers being broken & the laundry room also felt like a sauna which was not great. Thankfully, there was a laundromat close by. One thing I really didn’t appreciate about this hotel was them using being eco friendly as an excuse for cost cutting measures; your room is cleaned minimally unless you mark with a magnet you want a full cleaning. You’re “rewarded” with 1 free water if you choose the minimal cleaning option otherwise no water is provided, while other hotels provide free water everyday to all of the people under your booking. Things like toothbrushes, paste, hair brushes, ect. aren’t provided in your room by default, you need to get it from downstairs. Overall, I don’t think I’d come again. I think having the word premium in the name of a 4 star hotel while nickel & diming customers doesn’t feel great.

Rooms here are very clean, and the front desk staff were always helpful and accommodating to our needs. The only thing I would do next time is book a bigger room. We had the standard room with 3 beds, and it was challenging to manage the space with just a small aisle in front of our beds and the space near the front door. But despite this, everything else was amazing and we had a great stay.

Access: Naka-Okachimachi Station, Exit 1 (metro) is in front of the hotel. However, this exit has no elevator. To access with the elevator, probably 700 metres. Walking distance to Ueno station, JR Okachimachi and event Akihabara, Near Takeya 1 and 3, combinis and restaurants nearby. Hotel: My husband is a wheelchairer. We were given an option to pay extra for a universal room. I agreed and it was a good choice-close to the elevator, the ice machine and laundry. There were 2 windows but we could not open the curtains because the view was the 4 story hydraulic parking, so we had to turn the lights on all the time otherwise it was too dark. 2 luandry machines and 2 dryers, not crowded as people reviewed - rates were reasonable. You can exchange coins at reception. Staff of day shift was nice, helpful and polite. However, I experience a couple of incedents that I was upset. -The first night that we stayed, the fire alarm rang at 2 am. We were so scared because the announcement was repeated many times but in Japanese only. No Eng at all! I came down with some guests. A male staff at night shift did not explained much but kept saying that it was safe and fine to go back. This hotel accommodates many non-JP speaking guests, so I expected a better communication in case of emergency. - One time, staff left their (hotel ?)blankets in the washing machines and the dryers longer than 30 mins. I was upset because there was a sign 'not to leave the clothes for too long'.
