Good location in Ueno with a subway stop directly outside of the hotel, you’re also really close to Akihabara. The staff at the front desk were nice & were helpful with booking a taxi to the Airport for us.
My room large but was carpeted which I thought was weird since it’s probably hard to clean. I had a king bed which was nice. I liked how the toilet & shower are in separate rooms; the shower room is also pretty big. The included hair dryer is terrible though.
The elevators in the building are slow & there were only 2 washers & dryers for the whole building with 1 of the dryers being broken & the laundry room also felt like a sauna which was not great. Thankfully, there was a laundromat close by.
One thing I really didn’t appreciate about this hotel was them using being eco friendly as an excuse for cost cutting measures; your room is cleaned minimally unless you mark with a magnet you want a full cleaning. You’re “rewarded” with 1 free water if you choose the minimal cleaning option otherwise no water is provided, while other hotels provide free water everyday to all of the people under your booking. Things like toothbrushes, paste, hair brushes, ect. aren’t provided in your room by default, you need to get it from downstairs.
Overall, I don’t think I’d come again. I think having the word premium in the name of a 4 star hotel while nickel & diming customers doesn’t feel great.
