The hotel is well located right near Shinjuku station. The rooms were small but clean and they give the option to replace towels daily even of you don't want your room cleaning. All the extra amenities for the room can be found in the lobby. The lobby area is dark and crowded. There is a self checkin option but it doesn't seem to speed up the process as everyone wants to leave suitcases. There is a small bar which serves cocktails etc and was nice, but it shuts at 21:30 which is a bit too early and they stop admitting people some time before that.

This is an excellent hotel to stay at and probably my favourite of the 5 hotels I booked for my 2 week trip in Japan. Service is excellent and the location can't be beat. It is super close to an exit for the Tokyo Metro train lines and not too far from the JR lines (you can take a pedestrian bridge close to the hotel that has escalators to avoid some traffic). The amenities also can't be beat! It's basically an amenities buffet on the main floor and even includes face masks though those run out pretty soon. The rooms will be small especially by Western standards, but that's normal in Japan. I see some reviews saying that it's expensive for the size of the room, but this is also in Shinjuku (with a stop for the Airport bus directly outside) which will drive up pricing. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel for its fantastic location and loads of amenities. I'll be staying here in the future if I'm in Shinjuku!

Room was great for the location. However. It is a little dated. Especially the bathroom. I think minor updates would make this hotel better. I would stay again, but only for the location and convenience of the airport shuttle. Averaging out to about 10USD.

Nice hotel, very quiet even though it’s in Shinjuku. Great location, so much is close by like Shinjuku station. Room size was a bit on the small side but that’s normal for Japanese hotels. Would definitely recommend as a good home base for exploring Tokyo

Closeness to train station and all the great dining all so near . Shopping is a more towards the upscale area. But walk 10 minutes is more modest shopping . Love that there is a station for three local subway lines just outside the hotel ( we used it extensively)

My hotel room was dirty. There were dirt stains everywhere. For the price we paid over 300 a night I would stay somewhere else. I don’t understand all the rave reviews of this place.

Amazing stay at Sunroute Plaza.
Great location for those trying to explore Tokyo. Located right next to shinjuku station and one of the stops on the airport bus. You get dropped off and picked up on hotel property. You can buy tickets on site at the airport and a qr code at the hotel. The room has storage under the bed to make up for the smaller room sizes in Tokyo which was a huge bonus as we had come with suitcases ready to bring home soviniers. The staff is helpful and has amenities for free on site incase you forgot something. It is in the quieter less busy side of Shinjuku station, but alot of really amazing restaurants nearby.
